21.06.2025 // voices echoing in my head
i continue to be terrible at this project management thing, but glad to have various spaces to work out from. transcribing, making notes, writing scraps and pieces, continuous emails and follow-ups. language is so difficult sometimes. the sense of not doing nearly enough haunts me constantly. already dreaming of my desk and croissant wheels, of walking everywhere.

I just had someone reach out in messages to apologize for some anon hate they sent months ago. It was some pretty awful stuff. I don’t say that to make them feel bad if they’re reading this but to emphasize my point.
They told me that they hit rock bottom and began working on their behaviours and realized how wrong it was and how it wasn’t right to take out their frustrations on me.
I really respected that, and them sending me a message from their blog. It wasn’t anon. It wasn’t an empty blog. It was just them taking accountability.
And it made me so damn happy. Because it’s evidence of their progress. I really, really believe that wherever you are in your journey, even if you haven’t started yet that you aren’t irredeemable.
People who believe they’ll never change or even want to change get there. Even a want for things to be different is a good step in the right direction.
And if you’ve ever sent me hate, no matter how awful it was, know that I don’t hold any grudges or bad feelings towards you. The most common emotion I feel about the hate is sadness, and not for me, but for you. I know it’s a dark place to be where you just lash out at others. And I know at a point, you may think you’re so awful and why bother changing.
But you aren’t irredeemable. You aren’t hopeless. I hope that you can feel compassion for yourself, but for what it’s worth, I do feel compassion for you. I truly hope you get better because you deserve to heal. You deserve to come out on the other side of this.

Amazonite being influenced during its formation by the smoky quartz growing alongside it is my current fav mineralogy fact. Like, It makes sense, because the iron content that colors the smoky quartz has the potential to add color to the amazonite during certain conditions and situations, causing what i can only assume more green in the amazonite hue. Truly fascinating. Also learned that amazonite is occasionally alternately called “Colorado Jade” when it comes from Colorado, where it is rather abundant, especially with smoky quartz attachments.

Good morning beauties! how r u all doing? is it finals week yet! we r here about to hit study week for undergrad students! fighting!! u got this! I am thinking about moving back home since I can't afford being on my own anymore... not sure when ... but I am thinking about it...its a very hot and beautiful day here! and I saw some nice white flowers on my way to the campus! I am quite ignorant with names of flowers or fish...so... what we can do at any given point in life is to try to stay afloat and try to do our best given the circumstances... lets do that and I think future gonna be ok :)

"I would say that there exist a thousand unbreakable links between each of us and everything else, and that our dignity and our chances are one. The farthest star and the mud at our feet are a family; and there is no decency or sense in honoring one thing, or a few things, and then closing the list. The pine tree, the leopard, the Platte River, and ourselves—we are at risk together, or we are on our way to a sustainable world together. We are each other's destiny." - Upstream by Mary Oliver

Something about DBT that fascinates me and has been super helpful is how it encourages balance between the “being” mind and the “doing” mind. For reference, the “being” mind is curious, present, and focused on enjoyment vs goals. The “doing” mind is all about getting the job done, progress, and judgement/analysis.
These minds overlap (ideally) and it’s good to make sure you’re not too much of one or the other and instead incorporate both!
For more info on this subject, here is a link to a website that is a very valuable free resource of all DBT stuff.
ANYWAY, point is, I know that there’s a lot of pressure to be in your “doing” mind mode all the time from society and capitalism. But it’s good to look around and notice the little things that make life beautiful and the present moment meaningful (with “being” mind).
