also i do just wanna say that im aware ive been incredibly negative lately and im sure that can be upsetting for some to see since theyre just here because they genuinely enjoy the franchise, but i want to point out that its exactly BECAUSE i love ensemble stars so much that i am so angry over all of this. its BECAUSE i love ensemble stars that my heart breaks when the franchise that means so much to me is being used to spread bigotry and imperialist propaganda. when they double down on ruining what made me love this game in the first place.

switch are the most important characters in the universe to me, and the enstars franchise has truly been a blessing for me, so i cant just sit here and continue to mindlessly indulge with whatever slop happyele throws my way while they turn the game into something so hateful and completely disregard what made their game and cast so lovable to begin with.

there has always been issues, ensemble stars has never been perfect, but at least it felt like there was some genuine care and thought put into things. i was drawn in by that potential. id see enstars at its peak and desperately hope id see it again, but since the akatsuki thing it truly has reached a point of being unforgivable. but even before akatsuki the signs were always there.

i made a post when the akatsuki and ibuki thing first happened venting some of my frustrations with the game, more specifically !!-era, and since then its just repeatedly been getting worse. And it really sucks. it sucks because i love this game so much, and its because i love it so much that i can see that everything that made me love this game is just no longer here. as a fan i do not feel like happyele cares about those of us who care so deeply for these characters at all anymore. every writing decision has either felt so vindictive and hateful or regressive for the purpose of dangling nostalgia infront of our faces, either by reintroducing visuals from !-era or tropes that the characters are meant to have grown past by now. and then they make the most ooc stories ever to justify drastic changes and think that just because theyre self-aware in the writing that makes it okay and because this fandom doesnt think critically they take that bait every damn time. its jarring, confusing and gives me whiplash to witness so frequently.

if you truly love ensemble stars, i dont get why youre still tagging along and using every justification imaginable to continue spending ungodly amounts of money on dia or merch via official websites as the franchise is eating itself from the inside. ruining everything that we once loved. maybe im just too autistic and care too much about the meanings and intent behind fictional characters and their narrative roles, maybe most fans truly are just here for the cool flashy visuals, but i cant fathom how theres still people saying we're "hating just for the sake of hating." The franchise i love more than anything is killing itself infront of my eyes by nothing but their own actions. it hurts. and its obviously going to make us sad, upset, angry, just completely overwhelmed with emotions. im overwhelmed with grief

i will always love ensemble stars, and thats why i so desperately want them to just EOS so that what i love will still be recognizable to me
