Since I casted the relevant parts from the FZ , I decided to (mostly) finish building the two kits I had. I didn't like the way the power pipes looked (that rubber...) and I think I'll switch in some resin hands (and cast a couple parts to replace the fiddly little thrusters I lost).
The left will be repainted to a Shield of Zeon unit from Plot to Assassinate Ghiren, and the right a stock unit to go along with my Colony Attack Rick Dom and Gelgoog Jaeger

So, I mentioned when I was working on the Hamma-Hamma and Gyan, I needed to work on scratchbuilding some parts, so I went back to an older project, Magical Ensign Blaster Mari's Zaku I, to practice.
I had the lineart from an issue of Cyber Comix, and since it came out post War in the Pocket, the base isn't a Zaku II, but a Zaku FZ (chest, backpack, skirt, etc.) while the forearm armor looks closer to the Rick Dom (no knobs like the FZ).
So I puttied over the power pipes and shoulder parts, and rebuilt the visor with plaplate. I 3d scanned and printed the backpack, since I couldn't get a good copy from casting, and used a bit of Impressive Putty and UV curing resin to copy the relevant FZ parts and Dom II forearm guards.

He Boot Too Big For He Dom Feet
When the Gyan came in, I built the Rick Dom (1.5) I bought around the same time, and I wanted to do a test fit for the old Rick Dom II conversion kit. At some point, I'd like to have a Colony Attack Rick Dom, and it looks like once I get some supplies to pin and fill some parts it won't be impossible.

The Gyan finally came back in print, so I put the Hamma Hamma together as well, since I've wanted to have a "Jupiter Zeus in Operation Titan" set of Haman's Valkyrie and Char's Gyan Ex.
Now that I've got them assembled, I can get measurements for some 3d printed parts and print out some scale drawings to see what I can pull out of my parts boxes. Going to try out some light curing resin to copy out some things, like the Neo-Zeon emblem for the Gyan shield.
Not completely sold on building the shield, it'll have to wait until I finish scratchbuilding the other two arms and the shoulder mounting joint and see if it'll support the weight.
