Despite having seventy bells on the jester outfit, I was utterly inaudible at ren faire, I suspect because my little jingle bells were too small to register over Ye Olde Background Noise. Not to worry! I am making anklets to be Louder. The latches are a little clumsier than I usually prefer, but the point here is ease of application because I need to be able to clip these on over my boots in a dusty parking lot and unclip them at the end of a long day. Let's get louder.

Sometimes you spend several hours working on a ren faire outfit and you're very pleased with the results and then you put it on and it's not comfortable at ALL

Jester ensemble was well received but it's come to my attention that my seventy bells are very much not holding their own at ren faire in the general commotion . . . I will be returning to the craft store to consider my options

The celestial jester outfit test worked perfectly. There are 70 bells in all. I'm going to be so annoying.

For maybe the first time in my life, it's actually easier to see the colorwork with the flash on. Very subtle blue and purple with glitter to catch the light, not that it really needs it given how reflective the clay is. All done!

There are definitely better ways to do this but I'm short on time and have struck out on friends who can sew, so I'm shortening these pants with safety pins and also putting bells on the pins. Ren faire season looms.

This part always makes me so nervous but it's cut. Now they're getting baked and then they'll get sanded and painted later and be right on time for this week's session.

And then after a great deal of changing my mind about the striations and linework, we've landed here

I do need to clean up some edges and fish a few more little crumbs out of the lines before I cut and bake it. Then I'm painting. This rose needs to be distinct from the red ones that are a running theme in the game, so I'm planning to experiment with some purple, blue, and silver.

Staring blankly at the wall in the craft store thinking surely 50 safety pins will be enough. Surely?

Certainly one of the more goofy things I've made, but that's the name of the game. Currently waiting on the outer layer of adhesive to dry so I can paint gold stars on the blue headband.

Too rainy to spraypaint tonight so I'll do that tomorrow. Instead, I am now adding bells to the outer layer of the celestial jester outfit because I did mean what I said when I said I was going to be annoying.
