I really hope there's a Jumpfoot/Mossfire like situation in RiverClan somehow (two cats kill each other trying to take the leader position), I just think it would be a really neat "history repeats itself" moment and a cool callback to CotC

I doubt it'll happen bc it would've happened by now and the current RiverClan members don't really seem like the type to duke it out to be leader but I can dream okay

Ok now that both Mistystar and Graystripe kicked the bucket let's focus on who else needs to go: Mapleshade

Like girl ily and you're girlbossing your way through the DF but ya gotta go

She's been described as fading and barely visible since OotS. Anyone who remembers her crimes or who she was is dead. Her arc (if you can call it that) is finished. There's basically no one left in the DF, what else can she possibly be used for

Like she's an interesting character but she's just wasting space at this point, I love her character and the fact that she's unreliable narrator but please just let her go

He literally gave RiverClan no choice and just took over just as the og Tigerstar did which they outright acknowledge

Like I know your kid died and all but taking control of basically an entire group of people with them having basically no say in the matter is just a bit overkill

I've never hated a character more istg he's the fucking worst

Oh also I hate Berryheart but understand where she's coming from, but Fringewhisker is just. a normal guy. Like cmon man

THEY JUST FUCKING KILLED HER OFF??? AND SHES LEGIT JUST GONE FOREVER LIKE SHE AINT COMING BACK

She was never my favorite POV out of the three but god DAMN

I mean I guess I should've seen it coming as I did see a spoiler that she died and there was a very heavy emphasis about not touching the water but damn that hit me like a fucking freight train

Like how do you process that??? How do you write a character in a book where dead characters make cameos and just fucking YOINK her off the face of the fucking Earth?? You spent so much time building her character and her relationships and just YOINK

God I havent been this flabbergasted about a main character death in a book since they killed off Tris in Allegiant in the Divergent series, and that was back in 2014 (also it was done really shittily so at she had some redemption)

She's just gone? We're literally never gonna fucking see her again??

Also Graystripe finally kicked the bucket which I knew was gonna happen the moment he volunteered to go in (still cried though), Shadowsight joins Mothwing in the "cant see StarClan" club, Bramblestar is back unfortunately, and the Warrior Code is finally being reworked

And Mistystar fucking outlived Graystripe. Mistystar was already a whole ass warrior when we met Graystripe as an apprentice. I mean we know she's most definitely gonna die in this next arc, like there's no doubt in my mind it's gonna happen, but she outlived GRAYSTRIPE. Graystripe bro.
