some scattered updates from the past 12 months:

i am still in the thick of residency but almost done!! 6 more months to go but who’s counting. it has truly been an exhausting few years and i’ve often done 60-70 hour work weeks and overnight 28 hour call shifts and as i’ve gone through this, i have only thought that surely there has to be a better way to do all this

also in the throes of a job search for next year, which has been a source of my work-related hard times. looking for hospitalist jobs and have had to deal with crushing rejection since the program i am doing residency with has said no to hiring me after residency. after i was forced by them to take on a chief resident role this year. i have just been feeling incredibly resentful towards my program lmao

still deeply in love with my girlfriend 🌹♥️ we celebrated our 3rd anniversary, and we hit a year of living together! i am in awe sometimes at our little life together

had a pretty good concert year!! for me it was very much year of brat and a major highlight was going to sweat tour and seeing charli xcx, but other concerts i’ve been to this year were MITSKI (!!!!!!!), STRFKR, vampire weekend, two door cinema club, and priya ragu!

it was also just a fantastic year for good music releases as well!

i’ve been brainwashed by Big Coloring and have gotten into coloring as a hobby but i don’t regret it - it’s the perfect relaxing task and i get excited about my end results!!

ahhh wanted to document a residency success story somewhere - today i successfully did a lumbar puncture on a tiny premature baby who was born 3 months early (so just at 25 weeks) and weighs about 600 grams 😭😭😭 i was terrified the whole time lol
