Synopsis: The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during the Second World War. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day (after the military term), it is the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of France, and the rest of Western Europe, and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front.

Episode: Yo! Yo-Yo!

Synopsis: Crash enters a yo-yo competition only to get upstaged by the returning champion: Dr. N. Tropy. Humiliated, Crash retreats to his house where he sulks and mopes about until Coco offers to train him as his coach. Through hard work and dedication, Crash enters the final round of the yo-yo competition and loses to N. Tropy. He beats up N. Tropy up and steals the trophy, learning absolutely no lesson.

Episode: Custody Calamity

Synopsis: Crash’s real dad shows up out of the blue after having gone to pick up cigarettes years ago, looking to mooch off of his estranged family. Aku Aku is insistent that Crash’s real father is the one who loves him and raised him. Dr. Cortex casually wonders who the hell this full grown adult bandicoot man is, but ultimately doesn’t care and is absent for the remainder of the episode.
