Never seen a bug like this in Ohio before, but then again I found it hitch-hiking in a box of bananas at work, so who knows where it came from?

No really, if you know where it came from, or what it is, please tell me; I want to know if its safe to release. And or what I can feed it.

Update: I do believe my little friend is a Satin Stowaway moth.  Need to do more research though; all the sources I’ve looked at so far don’t mention what the adults eat or their lifespans or if they can cause any environmental harm if released in my area..

Ben 10 Omniverse - Season 5 Episode 10, “The Collector” Ben is told that a nickname he’s always used for a particular species of mud-like alien shapeshifters is considered offensive by them.

He responds to this criticism in the most unexpectedly mature way possible: a genuine apology and immediately dropping the use of the offensive word.

Ben 10 as a character is normally immature even by 16-year-old standards, but even he knows that derogatory racial slurs aren’t okay.

For the record, I scored a 2, myself.

Somehow I forgot Lori M.’s name after she first introduces herself and I wasn’t really paying that much attention to Mae’s journal, and in most subsequent conversations Mae only refers to her as “Kid” instead of using her name, and for whatever reason I thought she was a boy?   In retrospect it’s kind of funny because now SHE’S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER. And also Bombshell.  Thought she was a boy until Mae started talking about “meeting a hot girl”, which made me really happy ‘cause that was the first time Mae’s sexuality had been revealed (in that playthrough at least, maybe there were possible dialogue points before that?)  and I thought it was great that Gregg and Angus weren’t the only characters confirmed to be non-straight.  And that in fact Bea is the only member of the core friend group who IS straight.

Is how many of the female characters you didn’t wrongly assume were dudes on your first playthrough..

Sorta like golf rules, Best possible score is a 0 (like the one on Mae’s shirt) and higher numbers are worse.

Yo can anyone I.D. this very nice snake I met at the zoo a few days ago? Hard to estimate the length ‘cause I only saw it coiled up, but it was about as thick around as.. idk, maybe like a nickel at its widest point?

It was just chilling on this bush, right next to the footpaths, enjoying the sun and fresh air. Super non-aggressive, too.. like I was pretty much right up on its face with my camera and it barely even reacted.   (also tried offering it some water but it wasn’t interested)

This kind of thing just happens so often in the show, and I love how sincere it is;  Buddy and Darnell never act insecure or embarrassed or indignant towards each other afterwards. Also a correction to previous posts:  Darnell is apparently a Ferret, not a Weasel.

Anyone else been watching this new Netflix show?  I’m pretty certain it’s called “The Adventures of Rockabilly Dog and his Weasel Boyfriend” but maybe I’m remembering that wrong..

Don’t let anyone tell you that money won’t buy happiness..

It’s VERY easy to buy happiness if you have the money.  You can buy things that enrich your life, that bring you joy.  You can eat and drink well. Shop at Target now and then. Subscribe to all sorts of convenient services. Treat your friends to nice things and feel good about making their lives a little better.  If you appreciate having all those luxuries and the knowledge that you can survive an emergency or two without your way of life being forced to change, you will be plenty happy.

Not having any of those things sucks.  It’s hard to be happy when you’re constantly scared of bills or of your car breaking down and not being able to afford to fix it.  It’s hard to be happy when you can’t afford to replace worn out clothes or broken-down appliances.  It’s hard to be happy when you can identify ways to enrich your life but cannot afford to acquire them.   If you’re poor then you have every right to not be happy.

But if you have the wealth and ain’t happy?  Well, either you’re doing it to yourself by not using your wealth right and not appreciating what you’ve got, or you could be suffering a type of depression.   And if it’s the latter, at least YOU can afford to see a therapist and maybe get a prescription for it. A lot of us can’t.

You would be amazed at how easy it is for Ohio businesses to evade their responsibility to pay unemployment benefits to anyone.

Like, literally, all you need is for a single person to write up a story about you doing some awful thing, and every goddamn person working for the Unemployment Board will accept it as indisputable fact.  No witnesses, evidence, recent history of similar behavior, or supposed motive required.  Hell, YOU can provide as much evidence as you want that disproves their story, and the Unemployment Board will still give the employer the benefit of the doubt.

I should know. I’ve been appealing this B.S. for nearly three months now and so far I still haven’t found a single official who is aware of the phrase “Innocent until proven guilty”.
