Kidi

Dennis Nana Dwamena KiDi was born in Accra, Ghana on 18 August 1993 to Gerald and Beatrice Thompson. Phillip and Elliot are his siblings.

He attended St. Anthony's School in Accra and continued his education at Accra Academy for Senior High School.

He then transferred to the University of Ghana in Legon, where he earned a degree in Economics and Information Studies in 2016. While attending university, KiDi performed at a variety of "Morning Cafe" platforms, which provide an opportunity for underground artists to display and showcase their talents. He also enjoyed recording cover versions of popular songs.

KiDi competed in and won the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015. He was also signed to Lynx Entertainment, where he wrote and produced the chart-topping song "Say You Love Me."

Since 2017, he has risen to prominence as one of the fastest-growing artists, particularly following the release of "Odo" in July 2017 and the remix featuring Mayorkun and Davido, two well-known Nigerian artists, in December 2017.

Kofi Kinaata Songs

Martin a.k.a. King Arthur Kofi Kinaata is a well-known young Ghanaian Fante rapper who was previously managed by High-Grade Family.

Kinaata, also known as the Fante Rap God, has a sizable fan base and followers in Takoradi and throughout Ghana, as anyone who hears his songs and raps falls in love with his lines because they are simple and direct. Unlike the majority of musicians who rap for the sake of it, he carefully chooses his words to address an issue, he claims.

Kuami Eugene

Eugene Kwame Marfo, born 1 February 1997, better known by the stage name Kuami Eugene, is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter specialising in highlife and afrobeat. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his songs "Angela", "Wish Me Well", and "Ohemaa".

He was named the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards' Best New Artist and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards UK's Best New Artist. He was also named Africa's Most Promising Artiste by (AFRIMA).

Kwame Eugene Marfo was born in Oda, Ghana to Alex and Juliana Marfo. His passion for music drew him to sing in church from an early age, where he also learned to play the drum, keyboard, and guitar. Kuami Eugene dropped out of school to pursue his passion for music and spent over two months studying music in an Eastern Region studio without informing the school administration or his mother.

Later, he was expelled from school after it was discovered that he had skipped classes. He attended Akim-Wenchi Salvation Army Senior High School. The young artiste, who was raised in Fadama, an Accra suburb, continued his education at Ghana Telecom University.

Kwami Eugene was a contestant on Ghana's MTN Hitmaker season 5 in 2016, where he finished third overall. He was signed to Lynx Entertainment shortly afterwards and has since released several singles.

In 2017, "Angela" surpassed one million views on YouTube, the highest total for any artist on that label, and was reportedly in rotation among Ghana's top ten songs. He is a featured artist on DJ Vyrusky and Shatta Wale's "Adwenfi." In 2018, he released "Confusion," a follow-up to the "Angela" song.

And in June 2018, he released the single "Wish Me Well" in response to negative comments he received on social media, including accusations that he was plagiarising lyrics from another artist, Ice Prince.

He performed at Sarkodie's Rapperholic Concert in Ghana on December 25, 2017. Ghana Music Honors 2017 Edition, December to Remember 2017 Concert, and the 61st Ghana Independence Day Show at London's Indigo 02 venue.

At the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, legendary high-life artist Amakye Dede crowned Kuami Eugene as his successor in high-life music.

Medikal songs

Samuel Adu Frimpong, better known as Medikal, was born on April 4, 1993 in Sowutuom, a suburb of Accra, Ghana. Criss Waddle, owner of Arab Money Gang, AMG, signed him in 2010.

Medikal chose the moniker 'Medikal' due to his early fascination with rapping. He developed an interest in rapping about physicians, surgeons, medical practitioners, and hospitals in general. He referred to his raps as 'sick' not because they were unhealthy, but because they were extremely creative, good, and 'dope'.

He also stated that his school father gave him the name Medikal when he was in junior high.

He also cited international artists such as Lil Wayne and Skepta, as well as Sarkodie, Criss Waddle, Pae Dae, and Yaa Pono as influences. Medical has released a number of tracks and collaborated with a number of Ghanaian artists. Mr Drew

Andrews Commey Otoo, better known by his stage name Mr Drew, was born on the 10th of June in the Greater Accra area of Ghana. Afrobeat, Highlife, and dancer/choreographer from Ghana, he came in second place at the Mtn Hitmaker 6 competition in 2017.

Aside from that, he was nominated as an Unsung Artist at Ghana's renowned Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 for his contributions to the music industry. He grew up in Dansoman, Kaneshie, and eventually settled in Mallam, Greater Accra, Ghana, where he currently resides. He used to attend Achimota Secondary School and is a former student. Mr Drew began his professional career as a dancer before going on to earn a bachelor's degree in music at the tertiary level.

Mr. Drew is also interested in theatre, video editing, and video directing, to name a few things. Kojo Antwi, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Slim Buster, and Terry BonChaka are among the artists he holds in high regard. In his current position, Mr Drew is contracted to the Highly Spiritual Music record company. Mr Drew comes on the scene to entertain and raise the profile of the Ghanaian flag with his extraordinary stagecraft. When Trevor Noah asked Burner Boy what he believed was responsible for Nigerian pop's meteoric rise, I strongly disagreed with his response. According to Burner Boy, music travels from one country to another and eventually returns.

Highlife and Juju music were the genres of music that defined Nigerian pop. Juju originated in the country's southwest, while Highlife, inspired by American jazz, originated in Ghana (though Ghanaians say it was relayed from Sierra Leone). Though these genres of music gained popularity outside of Africa, they never had the impact that contemporary Nigerian pop has. Music reflects a culture. Regrettably, the culture these two genres reflected was unappealing to Nigerian youths, largely because the youths are heavily influenced by western culture, which lacked these genres.

Therefore, why wouldn't the youths simply begin creating music that reflected the Hip-hop-infused culture in which they grew up? The answer is straightforward: the industry was dominated by conservatives who adored Highlife and Juju. This is in addition to the fact that no one was willing to risk their money on an experimental endeavour. Then the computer arrived, and digital recording studios sprouted up on nearly every street, arming youths to experiment with what they believed to be their music. The advantage of software-generated music is that it does not require a band. Another factor is the internet, which has facilitated interaction while also empowering fans to judge and decide whether a new release fits their tastes, in contrast to the past, when recording companies frequently acted as roadblocks.

This assisted in lowering the cost of producing a record. Suddenly, a dying industry experienced a renaissance.

Due to the music's strong Hip Hop influence, which many music lovers outside the continent can relate to, the music is transcending borders, not just within the diaspora but beyond.
