Bernat Maker Yarn
Yarnspirations announces the arrival of Bernat Maker yarn. If you think you recognize this yarn, you have a good eye; this was called Bernat Maker Home Dec in the past.
This yarn is like a knit i-cord made of 72% cotton and 28% nylon. It’s a heavy material that is considered in the bulky #5. Great for home decor, throw blankets and general crafting.

Plum & Teal Earwarmer/Headband is finished. I love this color combo! Not quite complimentary colors, but almost, they seem to vibrate against each other. Such a pretty pop of color! The teal yarn is we crochet brava worsted yarn in peacock. The plum yarn is a random worsted one from a goodwill pack.

Just a little something I’m working on as a thank you gift for a friend who opened her home to me when I needed a place to stay. She took me in & I sooo appreciate it.
UPDATE: It’s finished! It’s earwarmers & she loves them. I used crochet.com brava yarn in peacock & silver.

I feel like my crochet inspiration is finally back. I had lost the inspiration for a bit (I do periodically), but now it’s back & I’m getting ideas & I’m ready to grab my hook & get going! 😁

I crocheted today for the first time in months. I’ve been feeling pretty uninspired lately, but today I made a case for my extra phone charging cord that I’ll be keeping in my purse. I’m happy with how it turned out. 😁 Yarn is WeCrochet dishie yarn in white.

This is a really good tip that I’ve found helpful. I found this infographic here.

Crochet Earbuds Wrap Pattern
Do you struggle to keep your earbuds organized & tangle-free? Do you also love to crochet? I've got the solution! I was having the same problem with my earbuds & the idea for this pattern popped into my head. (Note: This is also my very 1st pattern, so I'm kinda excited. I hope you guys like it!)
The base is a 2.25" x 7" swatch of single crochets that is then rolled into a cylinder & stitched together, with a fold-over flap of treble crochets stitched around the perimeter of the cylinder. For the full pattern & companion video, keep reading. You can also get the PDF here.
Note: This is a freestyle crochet pattern, it’s not dependent on stitch count. For reference, I used a 4.5mm hook with a worsted weight cotton (dishie) yarn. We’ll start off by creating a 7” x 2.25” sc swatch.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sl kn = slip knot
sl st = slip stitch
sc =single crochet
tr = treble crochet
fo = fasten off
wv = weave in ends
Row 1: ch 36 (or whatever is required to reach 7” + 1 ch), sk ch 1, sc in ch 2 & the rest of chs, turn (35 sc)
Row 2: ch 1, sc in each st, turn (35 sc)
Rows 3-9: repeat row 2
Row 10: repeat row 2, fo, leave long enough tail for stitching, roll up your strip into a cylinder & st together, wv
Row 11: Create a sl kn & attach w/a sl st to a st in the top of your roll, ch 4, 14 tr (15 tr, total, or however many/few st to complete perimeter of roll) sl st to join, turn
Row 12: ch 4, tr into ea. st, sl st to join, turn
Row 13: repeat row 12, fo, wv
