As we move through this season where the pressure for measuring "what's to come next?" and "what did you accomplish this year?" can be so overwhelming, I welcome you to think instead: what am I inviting in right now? How can I trust the moments where I am just able to show up as whole and loved? Let go of the constraints of time and urgency, and lean into your liberation.

I'm so excited to continue this partnership with Tumblr for their Holiday Blues series to offer you all some much-needed respite during this holiday season. Join me live for yin yoga and meditation: This Sunday, 12/5 (10 am EST) 12/13 (10 am EST)
My sessions are rooted in the power of movement through mourning.
The holiday season used to be such a magical time for me. It meant endless laughter, cousin antics, and gluttonous eating of Mama Liberia's food. (As we say in Liberian english - before goo' foo' waste, leh belleh buss).
This shifted in 2011 when we started losing loved ones in unfathomable ways. The years were unrelenting. We have never been the same...I have never been the same. So I fell in love with the pursuit of healing.
I believe new parts of ourselves form between breath and movement. Space awakens. We shift from moving on, to moving with.
This holiday season, I invite you to fall in love with the pursuit of healing. To BE WITH the work being done through you. And to do this in community together.

coming up for air and find I'm still breathing. I took time away from most of social media for almost 1.5 years. I slowly started to reemerge this last month, noticing how this space impacts my nervous system and making the necessary adjustments for my wellbeing. I hate it here and I love it here. And then I realized - this too is being in relationship. To dance in the grays so often. To draw nearer to the messages of my body. To reset, relearn, and try again. And so here I am. I fear being unknown to those I've known for so long. But, I plan to relate to this space as a vessel for sharing my heart, breath, reflections, and practice. I invite you into this journey, and want to make sure you feel alright being here.
Do you want to be in this space with me? Does it feel alright for you? Do I have your consent? Through my own deep personal work I've wrestled with years of being coaxed away from my own desire, pleasure, knowing, choice, and consent. No more of that for any of us. So I invite you, if you want, to journey with me towards seeking, creating, and forming the balms. Of tending to our care. Of working towards generational healing.

Feeling down? Dreading the short days and long nights? Well, this holiday season, Tumblr is here to help you conquer your Sunday Scaries all week long!
We’ve partnered with amazing yogis, wellness brands, and mental health enthusiasts to bring you Holiday Blues with Tumblr. With a huge shift in the weather, hours of daylight, seasonal affective disorder season, and whatever else the world is throwing at us this week (🐝Murder Hornets just entered the group chat), we want to empower you to participate in some transformational acts of self-care 🤗.
Don’t worry, we know ‘self-care’ can feel like a chore, not to mention another dent in the bank account. That’s why Tumblr wants to meet you where you are—on your dash.
How does it work, you ask?
EASY! PEASY! LEMON 🍋 SQUEEZY! All we need from you is to show up; we’ll take it from there! Over the next six weeks, Tumblr and our partners will host LIVE classes: fitness classes, mindfulness exercises, interactive quizzes, playlists, and maybe even a dance party.
What if you miss class?
NO STRESS!! We’ve thought of it all. If you can’t make it to the live class (you will be sorely missed), each class will be available here on Post It Forward or on our Youtube channel.
