One of these days, I'll make a big lore dump on Raph in my AU. I love him so much, I put work into his story plots. 💀💀💌🎀🌸💕

One of those plots I named "King of Kings," where he keeps having dreams about something calling to him. This leads to him being chosen by the last titan as its successor to yokai kind. I wanted Leo to be the team leader and move Raph into a new position. And I said, "Fuck it, he's a king now."

The idea was that Raph was the perfect successor. He knows the human world, and he also knows the Yokai world. The titan believes he is leaving his people in good hands with Raph. Blah blah blah, I'll go into more detail at some point.
