So... about Visiting a Village. I have quite a few finished chapters on my computer, but there's so much stuffTM that I have to write before getting to all that stuff, and I don't know if I will ever write it... so poll time! (because I don't want to abandon my boi)

pros and cons under the cut

Option 1:

pros: Story will feel more complete, and when I post it properly it will feel satisfying to have done, and I will be more proud of the end result

cons: I may never do it and therefore never post everything, it may take years

Option 2:

pros: it can be read soon, won't take years, and I will (almost) certainly do it, may still post the in-between chapters later

cons: It will be (and read as) unfinished, I won't be as satisfied with the finished result

Option 3:

pros: halfway house, a little easier to do than option 1 and less incomplete than option 2

cons: may still take years (lol) and I might give up half way through writing (like option 1)

Ok but I have a random headcanon about the Alfred and Alear's B support:

What if the reason the flute music is haunting to Alear is because it’s an old folk song passed down Alfred’s ancestors and was played during an execution - one of the divine dragons family or followers loved it and out of respect/ defiance to the fell executioner it was played by a separate follower (think opening to Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End). So it's a normal lullaby, but Alear gets weird vibes because of being there 1000 years ago when the song was a tune sung by Sombron's enemies before they were executed.

depression tips™

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.

moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over. 

put on clean, comfortable clothes. 

put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.

drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink. 

blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something. 

make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.

go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.

cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

i just had a thought. since link was suspended in blue healing water for a century, which seems to be (looks) really similar to mipha's magic, do you think he was subconsciously reminded of her when he was asleep? maybe it's even the reason he wasn't panicked when he awoke. even without his memories he still associated it with a sense of safety because water = mipha is so deeply ingrained in his brain

2.Do you prefer male or female Alear?

Female Alear, she is a wonderful character and I love her design. Having a powerful female character who isn’t over sexualised or lacking femininity is so good. I love F!byleth but the sexualisation of her outfit is frustrating (at least when M!byleth wears something so different)

Also her voice acting is AMAZING, honestly it made me cry on more than one occasion! 

10. Who is your favorite royal?

ALFRED! (I guess it’s pretty obvious based on my drawings…) I love this guy. He is a goofy epic adorable man who is so supportive and sweet. His chronic illness and fragility doesn’t stop him, and he doesn’t let that get in the way of his joy and how much he helps others. 

Diamant and Alcryst are close seconds! 

12. Who is your favorite retainer? 

Etie - I just love her cute and ribbon covered design so much!

19. Who is your least favorite NPC? 

Zephia. Her costume is so SO stupid. Something that barely covers anything and we’re expected to be threatened by her? She’s wearing no armour, she doesn’t look like she could take a hit from a sword - it would rip her apart. 

I can’t enjoy the satisfaction of beating her and stopping her from hurting more people, because I’m taken out of the game by the obvious fan service.

I really, really, really enjoy your art. I swear I can't describe my thoughts eloquently to save my life, but the way it looks gives me the Good Vibes. dont gotta bring up some age shit if its not true, m and f byleth are the same person, you can just say you dont care for the m version

I actually prefer the m version to play through as myself. I just haven’t yet found a good ship for him, and I do believe I specified that it was just a feeling and not something that was true when I said I felt weird shipping him with students. I wonder if it’s the height difference and eye shape that made me feel that way? I have no idea.

But personally I feel it fits the so far established pattern of avatars if Byleth is male, since M!Robin is generally used, then F!Corrin, M! Byleth and F!Alear would fit better. So I don’t dislike the male version, I also in fact prefer his design as well (Though I don’t dislike her at all)

I ship her with Dimitri (mostly because he’s an attractive guy) and am not quite sure for him yet, I’ve tried out a few things but haven’t settled on a favourite so, for now he will just be an eligible bachelor to me XD
