Week 10: Graduation day.
Creativity works has been such an eye-opener to what job roles are in the industry, inspiring and an educational journey (honestly I mean it.)
If you are looking to grow in anything media related I would highly recommend joining the program and sticking through until the end. Thank you Mayors Fund, BerkeleyGroupUK and Media Trust !

Incase you accidentally upload on the wrong season and see this ;)
Signing off,
Stacey Balusa.

My grandad came to London in the 1940s as an immigrant post India-Pakistan partition. He worked as an accountant in Knightsbridge before eventually moving to Wembley, where I was born. Over the decades, the areas changed immensely. There’s a lot more still to come.
Collection 02
Aesthetic Wembley | Insta-friendly | Politely Gentrified
Wembley will be taking park in Open House 2018!
The Photos in these collections represent the construct of commercialisation.
This series explores my views on what reveals the aesthetics of Wembley; from iconic architecture to the diversity of vibrant cultures and stories of local people.
It aims to showcase an honest view of what improvements to the area can bring, but also where the challenges lie.

Grenfell tower BBC Documentary - By Sherine Miyaa
I would firstly like to take a moment to thank all those involved in the production of this documentary, from the cameramen, to editors, to the volunteers and most importantly the victims and those who were in support throughout this whole tragedy.
The documentary was definitely heart felt and life changing, I honestly cannot express how much of an impact it truly has left on me. Almost a year later, it still feel like yesterday. And although the world continues to live on, the lives of those effected have stopped on that day. I sincerely pray for all of the victims and those who have lost family and friends to this tragedy.
I originally had empted to make a vlog about this, but I truthfully could not hold myself together to post. But thankful BBC and to all those involved, the victims and volunteers once again for showing our side of the story and granting us a public space and a voice for the suffering. #justiceforgrenfell #grenfelltowef #bbcdocumentary #creativityworks

Sun, Ducks & Hayver - By Sherine Miyaa On this fine summer day, I’ve spent it in the beautiful park, overlooking the pond. I don’t remember the last time I’ve felt so relaxed, sipping on a ice cold drink and embracing the sunshine, UNTIL the reality of hayfever kicked in. Constant sneezing, watery eyes, what better combination could you think of to top off the day? Haha - yes I forgot to take any tablets before leaving & being in a park surrounded by grass and plants, isn’t so ideal, but the sanctuary I’m in right now, I’ll definitely say it’s worth it!!! Hope you’re all enjoying the weather as much as I am!! 🙄☺️ Twitter; @sherinemiyaa @reshmabiring @jasminedotiwala @richardpascoe @mediatrust @mt_futures @mayorsfund

My team is cooler than yours!
Met these awesome individuals (just a few of them) full of potential, full of life and talent.
So greatful to have known such a wonderful bunch, thanks to the MediaTrust team who gave us this opportunity. I learnt so much about myself: my flaws and weaknesses, my coolest attributes, and skills.
ONE OF THE BESTEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE WAS TO BE APART OF THIS UNIQUE EXPERIENCE AT MEDIA TRUST.
Hopefully we will stay in touch. And make award winning content together 🏆🥇
Love you guys ❤️

It is Volunteer’s week! Today’s post is dedicated to Scott Campbell. He is a digital advertiser at Oath (for those that don’t know this is the parent company to all of you Tumblr users). Yesterday was my first in person sessions and when I tell you I never thought it could take all day to re create my whole CV, well you are in for a treat. I think it is safe to say that yesterday was one of my most professional productive days, my mentor and I spent all day discussing my future and starting with the basics, my resume. I cannot stress enough how clean and well formulated your CV should look. When you have a mentor as motivating and as practical as mine, it’s difficult to not want to showcase your best, especially on the very piece of paper that will determine wether you get that interview (or job). Another great tip that Scott taught me, but shall remain a secret, is the power of nepotism. For those of us who don’t have moms and dads in the industry with connections, is it rather difficult to get our foot in the door way. However I fear not anymore, because of my mentor I know now who to REALLY hand my CV to, how to get it from the bottom pile to right in their hands! RIP Kate Spade

Kate Spade
She was an inspirational fashion designer and will be sorely missed. To keep the memory of her alive in a positive sense here are some interesting facts about her.
1. Katherine Noel Brosnahan was born Kate Spade before getting married to Andy Spade. In 1993 they launched Kate Spade together.
2. The couple sold 56% of their business to Neimain Marcus in 1999 for $33.6 million.
3. Kate Spade changed her name to Kate Valentine to accompany her new brand "Frances Valentine" named after her daughter.

Volunteers Week It happens once a year from 1st of June until the 7th of June. Its a moment in time to be selfless and to give to others. Although in my book you should be selfless all year long, 24/7 365 days of the year, self giving you should be. Its good for your soul and ain’t it better to spread love than hate? I have been lucky yo be awarded the best Mentor Miss Alla Kocherezhkina. Not only is she over qualified to Mentor she has 3 degrees which is an inspiration all on its own. Mrs Kocherezhkina has helped me on completing my CV, making a Cover Letter and posting those documents to real-life jobs, which I am ecstatic about. I have volunteered myself in the past and find a blissful joy giving to others. Thank you to all Volunteers it doesn’t go unnoticed and a big thanks to Miss Reshma Biring, Miss Jasmine Dotiwala, Sir Richard Pascoe, and Mrs Alla Kocherezhkina.

Volunteers’ Week
by Shanara Phillips
It’s Volunteers’ Week!
‘Volunteers’ Week is a chance to say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place 1-7 June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity.’
So I wanted to highlight my mentor Diana Ramanna.
Diana is a Senior Partner Exchange Executive at EMEA/Oath.
At the mentor speed matching afternoon we had at Twitter, Diana was one of few that I had instant synergy with. We even both wrote each other down as our top picks. What really connected us both was the passion, drive and ambition we both have in our respective fields. While Diana doesn’t work in the film/tv industry she’s still been an incredible mentor to me and is determined to help me achieve my dreams.
Diana is a really great listener, and she’s able to pick up on small things about myself that I wouldn’t notice. Not to mention how incredibly supportive and uplifting she is. I came to her during one of our mentor meetings with some doubts and she was able to comfort me and lift my spirit all while remaining very professional.
So far she’s helped me improve my CV and cover letter, help me go over job applications and give me constructive feedback and support on the work I’ve produced. She also has set manageable tasks for me to complete for the next time we see each other.
Volunteering is so important and I’m so grateful that Diana has volunteered to be my mentor. Everyone deserves a mentor too, as we all need someone on the outside to our personal lives to be there to coach you through whatever path you may be trying to go down and to continuously give you motivation and guidance.
