Weird question that i thought abt.

Could a shapeshifter split into multiple ppl?

Let's say that particular shapshifter can shape/expand into any amount of mass that they want to, would they thus be able to split into, lets say 4 ppl? If it cant rly split itsself up, but has to somehow be conected, for example trough a tiny "thead" that is attached to all 4 bodies, would it work?

Tho idk if the entity thus would have multiple brains and each contains one or each body has a bit of brain, or the "main body" has one and the others dont. If they all shared 1 brain would they all think the same thing at the same time since its actually 1 entity?

(My apologies for any grammer/spelling mistakes and if it doesnt make sense as to what i mean)

And to that if all bodies are active at the same time it would most likely be rly overwhelming to "see" trough all eyes at the same time.

If one of the entity's body's would start consuming another, would that be c@nnib@lism or autoc@nnib@lism (the consumtion of one's selves)? And i dont mean consume as in idk fuse completely but eat.
