I can't express in words how much this chapter's message affected me. Too often my mind veers into "life is utterly meaningless" territory and feel-good messages rarely change how I feel about it, but Armin's words really moved me.
I think what did it for me was that he didn't try to refute Zeke's words. He didn't force on him that common, grandiose message about how living has a grand purpose, nor does he claim that life isn't the technical thing Zeke says it is, all he's saying is that sometimes the in-between moments of your life may matter more than the big, life-changing ones and it's absolutely okay to stake your happiness on that.
Even if you think it all won't matter in the end, what matters right now is the very moment you are living in.
I think it's a beautiful message, and it made me think positively for once.
