Dear reader,

I have been placed in charge of recalling the tale of the Black Widow of Forgotten Hollow. I'm your narrator, a completely objective third party outsider with absolutely no personal interest in the matter, and I shall recount the tale of Tessa Aranea, princess of the Aranea fortune.

Meet Tessa Aranea, the star of our Black Widow Challenge! Her traits are Romantic Snob and Materialistic. Tessa comes from old money and grew up fabulously wealthy. Her Egyptian family owns a successful textile company that amassed a fortune over the decades. They use a mysterious Spider Silk as a main component of their luxurious clothing designs. How they acquired this Spider Silk is a mystery to this day...

However, growing up among 6 siblings, Tessa felt invisible as the second youngest heir to the Aranea estate. That led her down a path of rebellion and disobedience, with little ambition and plenty of sneaking out. She was a romantic teen, willing to go anywhere love took her.

One night, she invited her lover over to the estate, and was caught in her father's office exposing trade secrets and proprietary information in an attempt to impress and woo her beau. Her father banished her lover from the estate, and punished Tessa by sending her away to Forgotten Hollow, where she was told to "amass her own estate" so she could see firsthand the importance of maintaining your own empire. Now that she's arrived in Forgotten Hollow with nothing but her suitcase and a lackluster piece of land she now has to manage, will she develop ambition and amass her own fortune? Or will her Romantic streak take over and pull her into the depths of her family curse?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The family has a terrible curse placed upon them. When a descendant of the Aranea family falls in love, their partners will die a horrible death. Some say the curse of the spider contorts their mind and makes them want to kill their lovers. However, if 10 living sacrifices can be made, the curse will be broken. Tessa had heard of this curse as a child in passing, but her mother quickly passed it off as a ghost story, so as to not worry her children.

This challenge is not for the faint of heart. It is dark, twisted, corrupt; but stick around if you dare, to see what exactly becomes of the Aranea curse...
