Round 4 Open Preview
Tomorrow so many questions will be answered, played out against 40000+ people all of whom will have an unanswered question. Will Stevie win again and beat Tiger? Will the 25 mph wind come in and cause problems for Scotty? Will the old Tiger show up and will there be anything to blog about tomorrow night? (hope so)
The Wind
So supposing the wind does pick up, who can handle it and who can't?  Certainly GMAC shouldn't be bothered and so to Tiger, who although not suited to the prevailing wind at Lytham is one of the best in the wind and has been there before. Adam Scott does have a history of bottling tournaments and although being a superb ball striker, he hits the ball high. But then again, he is like a Tiger, having Tiger's old coach, caddie and mentality. The biggest factor however is who can hole the most putts, if you're not holing decent length putts on a Sunday of a major, you can forget about winning.
Stevie v Tiger
After the infamous divorce between Tiger and Steve Williams, they will finally have the opportunity to go head to head tomorrow.
They both have similar records, with Tiger having 14 majors and Steve having 13. Surely it has to be close?
Steve however won't be playing with Tiger, he'll be playing with GMAC, who has also had experience against Steve in the 2010 Chevron World challenge where he infamously removed his caddie shirt before GMAC had putted out, presuming that he would miss. However GMAC holed the 25 footer and went on to win the tournament.
I wonder if Stevie wins, where it will rank in his countless victories?
Tiger
Did we really see the Tiger of the 1st and 2nd rounds? In terms of long game, he lacked the conviction he showed in round one and two, recording only 10 GIR's having recorded 15 and 14 in round's one and two respectively. Also, considering the GIR's, 28 putts really wasn't good enough by Tiger's standards. Butt maybe that will change tomorrow, who knows? He will be determined to beat Steve for sure.
Final Round tee Times
39 - @14.00 - Bill Haas and Thorbjorn Oleson
40 - @14.10 - Ernie Els and Zach Johnson
41 - @14.20 - Tiger Woods and Brandt Snedeker
42 - @14.30 - Graeme McDowell and Adam Scott
My money's on.......
Well, will GMAC's sweater do it again? Will Snedds produce another 66 from somewhere? Will Tiger produce some magic of old or will Adam keep his cool?
I'm going to be bold and say GMAC will steal it.......sorry Adam.
Whatever happens it should be fun viewing. Who do you think will win? Send me a tweet via twitter!

Pro's not shouting Fore!
What is it with pro's apparent inability to shout the word "Fore"
It is definitely not the first time this issue has arisen but I think it is about time it is addressed. Whether or not there were shouts of "Fore" today when Rory Mcilroy lost his tee shot (right) on the 14th during the 1st round of The Open is one thing, but it happens all the time. It is not only bad etiquette but dangerous!
Peter Allis noted that there were two things that had changed since he played the game, letting people through and shouting fore. Do we want this bad trend to continue or are we going to do something about it?
< boy with signed Mcilroy glove.
Why don't player's shout fore?
There are a few possible reasons why fore may not be shouted. Players may see the crowd as a backstop (a way of preventing their ball from further trouble). You could argue that a warning wouldn't be heard that far away with the background hubbub, but they should still attempt a warning if people are in danger. Not to do so is negligent.
What can be done?
It seems that whenever a person gets badly hit/injured a signed glove or ball seems to redeem the player/caddie in question? Should players get fined? That is certainly debatable but would soon cut out the problem.
Good and Bad
Don't get me wrong, many pro's do shout fore and are being let down by those who don't but it should be compulsory. If it is in the etiquette of golf to shout fore (anywhere) on a private course, then surely with the amount of people at golf tournaments the danger is increased?
Ian Poulter tweeted that he does shout fore!
Fan's are at fault too!
It is not only the players who are at fault but also the fans! Many fans distract and interrupt players during rounds and they also need to change their ways.
We'll see if there are any other incidents this week and if players shout fore, hopefully they will!

O'Donovan in prime position at Troon
Lucan's Richard O'Donovan fired a sensational, course record equaling 66 (-5) on top of his opening round 73 which leaves him just one back of Sweden's Daniel Jennevret going into the match play stages of the Amateur Championship.
O Donovan played the Glasgow Gailes on the Ayrshire coast yesterday and will have to continue this form if he wants to go far in the match play. The match play stages of the tournament will be contested at Troon, with a 36 hole final on Saturday.
Waterford Catle's Kevin Phelan made it through with a 70-72 in the opening two stroke play rounds. Headfort's Rory McNamara came in late in the day with a magnificent 69 at Glasgow Gailes and his 142 aggregate eased him through with plenty to spare.
Other Irish faces who scraped through include Alan Dunbar (74-70) and Brian Casey of Headfort who scraped through on the mark with a total of 145. Unfortunately Brian and Ciaran Molloy were beaten this morning in the preliminary match play round 2&1 and 4&3 respectively.
Irish amateur Open holder, Gavin Moynihan was unfortunate to run up an 8 on the par 4 11th at Troon, which led to him missing the cut.
Other Irish notables such as James Fox (Portmarnock),  John Greene (Portmarnock), Neil Henderson, Nicholas Grant, Harry Diamond (Belvoir Park), Gary Hurley (Waterford) and Andrew Hogan from Newlands all failed to make it through to the knockout stages.

The R&A yesterday penalised Nathan Kimsey for slow play, although to his credit, he made it through!

NO big deal! Honesty is the best policy!
Matt Every shot a flawless 64 yesterday in Honolulu at The Sony Open, a round that has been seriously overlooked due to his post round interview with Kelly Tilghman.
Also, people should get their facts right before jumping on the bandwagon to criticise him. He was caught in possession of Marijuana, not taking it and what's more, all charges were cleared! He simply spoke his mind like so many of you on the internet do! What do you expect him to do, lie?? To me lying is more morally wrong than just answering a difficult question truthfully and I highly commend him for that! If he had lied and said "I'm totally against Marijuana and I've changed", he would be letting down his friends, the people who actually care about him!
Another argument that people have said is that Kids get a bad example from him! Well blame Golf Channel for asking him the question then....Not Matt who answered it truthfully!
Why is no one commenting on his golf? We shouldn't care what he said or didn't say, after all he shot 64!! When your in "the zone" for 4 and a half hours and shoot such a great round, you are obviously going to be dazed minutes after your round! After all being in the lead in your first event of the year is a BIG deal and something he has worked hard for the last couple of years, and now it has been overshadowed by ONE thing he said!
After the interview Nick Faldo said "I don't t think he did himself any favours", like come on! Nick Faldo telling a guy he needs PR advice? Seriously?
I wish Matt the best of luck over the weekend and if he wins, maybe then they will appreciate the golf that he plays not a stupid interview that means nothing!
