From the Grimoire: How to Cleanse Tarot Cards!
Tumblr media
Quick Cleanse: anywhere from about 30 seconds- 7 minutes
Sprinkle with salt,
Knock gently on a wooden table three times,
Pass through smoke/incense.
Put selenite on it,
Shuffle while focusing on cleansing,
Sound cleansing/ music cleansing.( each tarot deck I use “likes” a different genre of music).
Deep cleanse: Use of one the above methods and one of these.
Organize the cards them put them in order,
Leave them in the moonlight ( new, quarter moon or full)
By no means is this a full list so feel free to add on!

Grounding With The Elements
⛰ earth
feel the energy of the earth come up through the floor into your body
place your left hand on a tree; feel the energy of earth soak through its roots, up the trunk, through your hand, into your body.
stand outside in the dirt, barefoot. visualize the core of the earth radiating energy, and see it creeping up through the rock, the soil, the dirt, into the plants, into your feet, rooting you, like the plants around you, to the earth.
🌊 water
place your hands in water. visualize the water’s energy seeping into your body. see the ocean inside of your body, holding you and filling you with water energy.
take a bath. lay down in the water. visualize the water of the bath elongate into a vast ocean, in which you are in. visualize you slowly becoming one with the water, until you are no longer being swept away by the waves, you are the waves.
drink some water. feel the water going down your throat, into your stomach, and visualize the energy from the water spreading throughout your entire body.
🌬 air
go outside. feel the air blow past you, over your head, around your body. visualize the air beginning to sweep under your feet, bringing you up into the air, until you are flying.
feel the wind around you, weather it’s from a fan, the outside air, or another source. feel how it diverts around you. imagine this air not diverting around you, and instead flowing into your body, as if you were a balloon.
go outside. imagine the air around you all circulating around you, like a tornado. feel the air suck you into it’s whirlpool, and feel yourself as the air.
🔥 fire
light a candle or fireplace. place your hands near it. feel the warmth from the fireplace radiate off into your hands. feel the fire energy soak through your skin into your body, filling you with energy.
light a match. feel the fire flow through the smoke from the candle into your fingertips, slowly filling your whole body with fiery energy.
go outside and close your eyes. feel the fire radiate off the sun and fill your body with fire, with lava, with heat. imagine your body as a volcano.

How To Write A Spell
Tumblr media
(This is from my personal experience, also helpful for baby witches!!)
1. Narrow down an intent. If you want a spell to help you with anxiety, that’s good and all but consider asking yourself; “what kind of anxiety do I want to heal?” This could be work anxiety, social anxiety, anxiety making decisions etc. this will help your spell be more successful.
2. Pick what kind of spell will be best for you. If you’re going to do a social anxiety spell, perhaps a calling spell where you say words aloud will be good. Or perhaps you could create a charm to carry with you. Again, the more specific and unique to you the better.
3. Now you look for your materials. Is it simple, is this a spell you can do quickly? Do you want more of a ritual with many steps? Whatever your materials are, look at all of their correspondences and make sure they align with your intent/ you feel connected to it.
4. Write out your method. If you’re using herbs, how will you use them? Will you burn them? Bury them or eat them? Let them sit in a bowl? If you’re using crystals, where will they be? Will you drink infused water? Do you carry them with you? Write down step by step how to do your spell and what to do with the ingredients afterwards.
Extra Tips:
~Write some notes about the spell such as: “play this music” or “works best when…”
~Don’t use a billion materials. A couple of herbs, especially if you feel connected to them, and one candle can be just as powerful as saying a quick poem or wishing a spell into exsitence.
~Write down your experience with the spell! How it worked, what it did for you!
~It can help to look at others spells, either here on tumblr or just on google. See what they did, and try to make it more you if it’s hard to start from scratch.
Feel free to add more tips!!

Tarot trick!
If you need to find the middle of two extremes, take your deck and set down one card at a time. One card from the top, then one from the bottom. Keep going till you only have one card. It should be from the very middle of your deck. That’s the middle of the two extrmes.
