I'm still not over the fact that Penny just happened to be the one character who emerged from the petal burst down on one knee and looking up adoringly at Ruby. Some storyboarder and/or animator intentionally decided to pose her like that. What did they mean by that.

Penny: I am drawing a picture of you and I holding hands and destroying Grimm. Also, you have scythes for spider arms.

Ruby: Why are you drawing it?

Penny: Because I love you.

Ruby: Did anybody tell you to draw that?

Penny: I told myself.

Ruby: ...No, Penny's art is not AI because she's a person who can think for herself.

Penny: Thank you, Ruby~! Also, the milk is going to turn sour in three point seven five seconds...

"Thinking about girls kissing is marvelous, you should do it right now, friend Ruby!" - Penny discovering she's a lesbian

"Like right now?" Ruby asks, sounding unsure.

Penny nods, clearly excited, "Yes! I find it to be a very enjoyable pastime!"

Ruby’s face flushes, "Oh! Then you wouldn't mind if I...?"

"No? Why would I?" Penny asks, tilting her head in confusion.

Ruby only shrugs, fidgeting in place as her face only grows more red.

Penny is going to ask if she’s okay when Ruby looks into her eyes.

The words die in Penny's mouth as her processors are all suddenly devoted to tracking how close Ruby is and that fact that her friend's arms are wrapped around her neck.

Ruby was right in front of her, her friend's face only inches away from hers.

Once again, before Penny can question her friend about what she's doing, Ruby begins moving again.

Penny is frozen, not knowing what to do in such a situation.

She feels her body's temperature suddenly spiking and realizes that Ruby is kissing her.

Her processors are so busy cataloging every detail of the moment that she forgets to react to it at all, remaining frozen.

Just as quick as it began, it's over, and Ruby is no longer touching her.

Replaying the audio from the past few seconds, Penny realizes that Ruby has been apologizing to her for the kiss.

"Oh no! Penny?! Are you okay? I didn't break you or something, did I!?" Ruby was panicking, staring at her friend with wide eyes.

When she catches up to what Ruby is saying, Penny reaches forward and grasps her friend's hand, "I'm fully functional and unharmed, Friend Ruby! I was simply surprised that you kissed me!"

A giddy feeling was bubbling up within her, the strange feelings she harbored for the smaller redhead given new context.

"So you didn't want me to kiss you? I thought that you were telling me to..." Ruby asks, tears welling up from shame and embarrassment.

Penny frowns, the giddy feeling replaced by concern for her friend, "How so?"

"You said that I should try kissing girls, and well...we're the only ones here." Ruby explains.

"I said that you should think about girls kissing." Penny clarifies, realizing that Ruby must have misheard her.

"Oh. Oh! That makes much more sense...I guess." Ruby pulls away from Penny, sniffling, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I'll leave you alone."

Penny catches her hand, "You didn't make me uncomfortable, Friend Ruby!"

Ruby looks back at Penny, "I didn't?"

Penny shakes her head with a smile, "I actually enjoyed it quite a lot!"

"You did?" Ruby is still staring at her with wide eyes.

Penny's smile only brightens, "Perhaps we could kiss again so that I can be more present for the experience!"

Ruby only nods, feeling her heart skip a beat.

And then Penny is kissing her.

Thinking about Nuts and Dolts bonding over having died and come back. Ruby would absolutely be the type to try and casually joke that she's one death behind, so she's expecting another any day now.

I feel like this is the fun, dysfunctional, fucked-up version of Nuts and Dolts where Penny feels all the more unsettlingly detached from the human condition while Ruby has just completely and utterly stopped giving a fuck.

Meanwhile all of their friends are EXTREMELY concerned. Assuming they don't have their own fucked up issues to deal with lol

Ough... Thought about Penny being brought back again in Vacuo, but having an adjustment period to the new synthetic body and the ways it's different from her old ones. Ruby helping her as she works through that, gently holding her hands as she gets used the new balance while walking, ready to catch her if she stumbles...

Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Jaune running into Ruby and Penny fighting one of Neo's jabberwalkers together

Yang mistakes Ruby for Summer at first, but she's more alarmed by the fact that she's her sister

Penny getting them all with a hug, telling them how much she missed everyone

When they reveal how long they've been in the Ever After, the others are understandably worried and confused

Ruby tells them that she knew that they would have to show up eventually, even if she wasn't sure exactly when, and she had Penny with her the whole time

And when Penny kisses Ruby on the cheek for being so sweet, they're bombarded with even more questions

It ends up becoming a long night filled with a lot of crying
