Crow wasn’t familiar of his surroundings in the least. Still, it gave off the air of an amusement park or something of the sort. Maybe if he wasn’t sure this was some kind of simulation, he’d have thought it was a nice place to stay. After, well, taking it over for himself, naturally.
The sound of an approaching vehicle draws his attention toward it, eyebrows raising a hair at the sight of the kart heading right for him. Under normal circumstances, he might have just blown it to smithereens to save himself. However, he noted, he was still lacking his robotic arm. So all he did was watch and wait. It paid off, watching the other skid to the side and twirl almost gracefully.
A one-handed clap didn’t really sound that enthusiastic, though the villain truly was impressed that he managed to avoid making Crow require cybernetic legs as well. Not that he’d have minded.
Tumblr media
“First of all, you’re kidding yourself if you think I’m a pedestrian.” The final word oozed venom, though he simply continued, “Secondly, if you believe that you’re actually on this track then you’re delusional. This is clearly some sort of simulation for the residents of that prison island we’re on.”
Well, nobody ever said Crow was a good conversational partner.
The sight of Glacier park is parallel to something you’d see in a tourists pamphlet for a snow park. Icicles dangling from the surrounding cliffs, fences and awning of a podium in the center of the area. Three doorways leading from three tunnels, a scenic view of a frozen lake and speed limit signs. The signs seems a bit out of place along with the podium though, but the pavement, while icy, is most certainly a road. It’s hard to tell why the road is even here to begin with. A pathway would make more sense, but a road? Well that answer would be delivered soon enough.
Manic laughter coupled with the roar of an engine is heard quickly approaching, reverberating off the walls of the area. Looking towards the source of the cacophony, one can see a short, yellow man in a small open kart peeling out from a nearby tunnel. He certainly seemed to be enjoying himself, and he was definitely zooming towards Crow at an alarming speed!! He doesn’t fail to notice this as his roar of laughter ceases instantly followed with a sudden “GUH?!” Twisting the wheel in a different direction while slamming a foot on the break, he howls out. “OUT OF MY WAY!!!” In a authoritative way. Whether the young man had moved or not, the kart drifts away just enough to avoid him, but spins out while doing so. The Driver, now groaning from dizziness, finally gets his kart to stop. In doing so, it tips over with him tumbling out of it. So much for that ride. The snow beneath him crunches gently as he pushed himself up off the ground.
Tumblr media
“Ugh…” Gloved digits smooth over the top of his flat head, an attempt to quell any and all pain he was going through from that mishap. “Karting is an interesting experience, but i’m far more suited to my lab.” With that statement and those clothes, he looks to be a scientist, what with the coat and gloves he wore. And yet here he is fussing over his own well being and now the state of his kart; getting on his tip toes and observing it before finally pushing it back onto it’s wheels. He could at least ask if the masked boy is alright but he whips his head back toward the him, squinting. “You…!” Hopping back into the kart now, the scientist drives towards young man at a much slower speed, visibly miffed.
“What do you think you’re doing just standing around out here?! This is no place for a pedestrian…”

oh my god ?? oh my god. mic had started to gaze at the metropolis before them, but the disgruntled admittance of a lack of arms snapped his attention back. “𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 ?! 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝙰𝚁𝙼𝚂 ?!”
Tumblr media
yeah, he’s found that his own gear has been replaced with fake stuff, and some people he’s met have had some things taken from them, but not whole - ass LIMBS. “… 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑, 𝚢𝚘.”
“Well, arm.” He amends, holding up and waggling the fingers of his left hand. The right sleeve, however, remained limp and flopping gently in the breeze. It was a chore to lose his cybernetic arm, though he supposed it would make sense to take it. It wasn’t like it didn’t hide a weapon or three.
Tumblr media
“For what’s probably some weird prison island? Kind of a dick move. Could’ve at least got me one of those cheap prosthetic ones, y’know? I’d have taken a hood hand, even.”
Not like he only lost his hand. Everything near to his shoulder was gone.

“...You know, I forgot how annoying it was to make a replacement arm without both of them.” He’s got a toaster taken apart, though not without a lot of effort given he’s only got his left arm.

Ehehe my baaad ^^; I ca re-write that up real quick
Nah, it’s fine! It’s an honest mistake anyone would make just looking at him. I think that’s even a mistake that’s happened in-universe so it’s no biggie. Just an amusing tidbit.

Starter call! Soft-capped at 2 but hard capped at 4. Meaning the first two are assured starters and the next two might get some.

Have some free time to do some stuff. Sadly going to drop the undone starters. Too many that I need to do. I’ll post a capped starter call on all my blogs after food. Sorry for the trouble!

Darrell should be happy to see someone being interested in his construction. If he had to hazard a guess, he’d even say that this was guy a villain, a potential sale. There was just… something about how he phrased the question that made Darrell feel personally attacked.
“Wh– what’s that supposed to mean? There’s nothing wrong with being mass-produced. I have so much substance!”
Honestly, the alternative– just being one robot– was pretty horrifying. Imagine that, just… breaking, and having that mean you were gone. It was just bad design to not assume that no robot body would last, and having endless backups was a perfectly reasonable and natural solution to that. Way better use of resources than staking it all on one “indestructible” robot, whose destruction was just as inevitable as for one made out of duct tape and scrap.
“Hey, hey! I never said there was an issue with the mass-produced ones.”
Tumblr media
Hands shot up in a casual sign of defense. Well, hand. One arm partially raised, sleeve flopping from the elbow down. It was rather clear he didn’t wholly care that he’d offended the robot. Just that his meaning was taken as something else.
“I was just asking a legitimate question. So many ‘scientists’ these days worry more about making their robots look pretty over functional. I’ve seen some fearsome looking mass-produced ones that I just sneezed on before they fell apart.”
It was barely an exaggeration on his part. His brief ‘hero’ stint left him fighting a good amount of the flashy faux death machines.

So, uh, miiight be super slow with stuff for a good while! Didn’t have time to write stuff up so there’s a chance I’ll poof for a hot sec. I’ll definitely try and get stuff done, though!

Crow was used to being seen, of course. Being the designated main villain of a city did that. Along with, well, not really having any tact when it came to not standing out. Buzzardlings had trouble with that, of course. Kind of came with the territory. Not that he was helping with his ‘incognito’ outfits.
Tumblr media
“Be prettier if I had two arms to admire it with.”
He’d never stop complaining about his prosthetic arm being confiscated. Gods was it annoying.
“If you’re wanting to bum a coffee off me then save it. I barely have any of this stupid ‘Dust’ stuff at the moment.” And he can’t really rob a bank here.
fourteen years of hero work post - graduation from the top hero school in japan. not just that, but living in a society where heroes and villains were commonplace, one gets a good eye for spotting those of nefarious nature. there were exceptions of course, but the guy in front of him? there was very little doubt in mic’s mind. didn’t seem like the guy was ACTIVELY doing anything evil though, so it’s hard to say. A well and proper robot? Maybe even something more sophisticated. Interesting. He was beginning to become a hair agitated that so many other villains had apparently been dipping their toes into engineering back home. Mostly because anything they made was so inferior to his own designs that he felt insulted by them.
But this one, with the brain in it’s jar-- which he admits is quite the obvious weakpoint for heroes, though that’s a classic-- is something he hadn’t thought of himself. Truthfully, they looked like the good ol’ classic villain crony. A dying breed, if you asked Crow. So many henchman wanted to be unmasked nowadays-- so heroes couldn’t kill them under the League of Justice’s laws. Robots? Robots were an entirely different matter.
Wait, he’s reminiscing and not striking conversation again.

“So, you a unique model or are you the mass-produced grunt bot? Getting harder and harder to tell these days. Everyone has to make them so intricate lately. Flash over substance, in my opinion.”
