before asking "is polyamory immoral?" we should ask "what is so moral about monogamy anyway?"

I understand 100% I am in the exact same situation. I have only done translation (which really is underrated) as a side gig and for my level I could never do it full-time but it's better than nothing and I also have the same problem with teaching but you could maybe start with classes for adults and see how it goes? I guess it would be good to have the experience if in the future you want to go on to teach in university. I think you could also do any kind of job that requires the knowledge of English like receptionist if you are interested in that kind of thing.
Regarding your post about what you can do with a master in English Lit, you should be able to teach at primary school or even high school if that's something you're interested in and maybe translation and localization
true!! i have done some translation work in the past but it's incredibly undervalued, and the areas where you can make some decent money are extremely competitive, so i never considered it as a viable full-time career option... at least not seriously. idk. maybe when the right opportunity presents itself? but it's definitely something i'd love to continue doing on the side!
and tbh i've been deliberately ignoring the whole teacher thing 馃 there is an astounding teacher shortage and the pay isn't terrible, but i feel utterly unqualified for the job... i may have the knowledge but i don't have the know-how. like, at all. i can see myself working with adults in like. a university lecture or seminar type of setting, but teaching kids is a whooole different story. i have SO much respect for anyone who does it (and can do it well) but i don't think it's for me 馃槼
