Semi Spoilers for Roger's Route (I caved and read a translation weh):

Roger is researching curses and his route gives more info into that.

It seems the working theory is that people are born cursed, but two people can't have the same curse at a time. Once a curse bearer dies, that curse is essentially "born again" as someone else is (my words there, not verbatem.)

Another point is that while a person is born cursed, the curse doesn't manifest itself until a tragic event happens in that person's life (I haven't read Elbert's story yet, but I can hazard a guess knowing what I know)

That's the working theory on how curses work anyways, but that's Roger's research so take it how you will. Dude's only been researching them since he was 5 lmao. (not a joke actually)

Dear Ikemen Villain fans, I have a lore and story question? (Probably stupid cause I'm always busy so I haven't read all the stories so apologies)

But it has been nagging me for so long I wanted to know the answer to this, since it particularly mostly Elbert and his main story I will do this under the cut. Also the usual trigger warnings around Elbert's route, be careful.

Are you born or develop the curse as you age?

Cause when I read Elbert's route and what happened to Cecilia, it made me think that during the time Cecilia took care of baby Elbert, She held and took care of him so that would mean just like his father who stepped into their shadow without knowing. Adding that fact does that mean despite being the byproduct of r*pe , she would still love Elbert? Cause she would have kicked the bucket sooner while taking care of Elbert for a few years it's just that knowing every time she goes near him, she is constantly reminded of the horrible event that plagues in her mind. It's not Elbert she hates, it's the incident. What I observe at least, again I could be wrong.
