The Batter from Off as a plains zebra! Kinda obvious why I chose it (that being the black and white color scheme and the stripes) but also zebras are fairly aggressive and while they’re herd animals I think it’s fun to play against that with the batter’s sort of solo mentality(once again no spoilers please as I haven’t finished the game!)

A goblin queen for my little speculative biology/headworld project, my notes are a mess but I’ll just copy and paste them here cause I’m lazy rn

Based off of bats(nose wise) and star nosed moles mayhaps,socially a naked mole rat situation? Kinda a hive ? Bonding is important to goblins, maybe they’re offshoots of halflings or gnomes if I do those? Underground, burrowing mostly maybe some cave subspecies? Probably flight no longer possible

Possible subspecies that do termite mounds?

Possibly more extravagant nose bits and bobs for more important “genders” or ranks(think about different types, look into bees and termites and also the naked mole rat again)

Ones that leave the colonies to establish another have more “plain” noses for camouflage and echolocation rather than showing off to other goblins? (Sometimes they will decorate with piercings or treasure they find to make up for this)

Decorator crab..

maybe warrior class has big uneven claw for fighting with like a crab?, smallest noses so they can bite the easiest ?

Workers have even claws but still big for digging, bigger saliva glands and are often drooling(for making mounds and like little areas and nests) moderate sized nose

Drones have big nose for showing off, Queen has big nose because she’s the queen?

Childcare shave down their claws/have more opposable fingers and tail?

Nao as a pink fairy armadillo! Something small and easily underestimated but still tough! Never know what she’s gonna do lol, love her

Alice from yttd as a common genet! I was between a couple critters for him, those being a porcupine like Reko, a raccoon(cause of the bandit mask) and a ring tailed cat because of the striped tail looking like his prison garb, but ended up with the genet for similar reasons to the ringtail, mostly just personal preference though in terms of his appearance

Sara as a south China tiger! This subspecies is only around in captivity, which sort of ties into the idea of the death game and her winning score as well as some theories I have about it

She’s also a tiger for its iconic look and charismatic status, making others want to trust her more, as well as mirroring keiji who is a leopard(because they have similar traumas and all that) and to be a sort of opposite to joe’s canine

Also the samuraionna thing because idk it fits LOL

Her stripes are overwhelming and bold, as well as breaking up her shape, sort of to represent the duality of her character and how she can change depending on her circumstances

Keiji from yttd as a leopard! I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to make him, but I wanted him to mirror Sara so I chose another big cat(with Sara being a tiger and all)

Suppose also could be something about the saying a “leopard can’t change its spots” as well

Reko from yttd as a crested porcupine! No particular deeper reason I chose this one beyond they kinda just look like her lol

Joe from yttd as a Guinea singing dog! I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted for him, besides being a dog obvs, but I ended up thinking this could be fun for him, as they don’t bark and instead make a sort of yodel sound!

Could also go with a rough collie though I’ll have to think about it

Sou as a boomslang snake with Midori as an emerald tree boa! I wanted snakes for both of them because of their similarities in like appearance, plus the garden of Eden type temptation symbolism . Sou has had his venom glands removed, but even if they weren’t, he’s rear fanged venomous so he really has to get in there to deliver a bite. He’s too poor to afford status symbols like prosthetics for arms and legs. Midori is a constrictor because one could assume it’s less dangerous than a venomous snake, but once you’ve been caught in its coils you’ll have the life squeezed out of you. Plus it’s green. I might give him prosthetics because he’s himself but not sure yet.

Screencap redraw with baby maka and young papa spirit! Maka had darker fur as a kit because red fox kits tend to be that color, but she quickly became blonde as she grew and shed out her baby coat. She grew at a rapid but odd rate, sort of like Marcille dunmeshi

I don’t know if ive ever posted human Olivia before only her bunny form, but wanted to bang out some headcanons on how I draw her, since she’s a really fun character to me! Tried to pack her full of some fun little symbolism to mirror reila(who I haven’t drawn) and for herself

I’m torn between her being fairly expressive with a flat tone of voice or vice versa where she has little expression and a very emotive voice, though I’m leaning towards the flatter tone of voice just based on her expressions in her movie

Either way I love her
