Daiya Birthday Headcanon Update

Okay, so, as a lot of you may know, we've been recently celebrating November 23rd as Daiya's birthday around these parts due to the rediscovery of this tweet, which is in a similar format to Kodaka's typical birthday tweets:

The thing is, this was always kinda just a bandaid solution. Because, well.... in the tweet itself, Mondo in no way states this is Daiya's birthday at all. In fact, the questioning exclamation marks kinda imply he's surprised Daiya is receiving presents, which you probably wouldn't be if it was your brother's birthday.

Still, this was all we had... until now (tho really this is another thing that's probably old news to some of you who've been in the fandom a long time).

This is a character astrology chart from the Danganronpa Reload artbook. Anyways, the only part we really care about here is what Mondo says.

"Daiya and Mondo, we even look like the Geminis!"

The implications of this (any potential translation weirdness notwithstanding) are pretty clear: Daiya is also a Gemini.

This means, of course, that Daiya's birthday is not Good Big Brother Day (1123), no matter how cute it would be, because then he would be a Sagittarius. But also...

It means Daiya Owada's birthday falls between May 21st and June 21st!

Personally, I like May 24th for him because it's National Brother's Day in some places. But obviously, you can celebrate Daiya on any day you like! May 24th, November 23rd, whatever! Go nuts!
