I still can't believe the audacity of some creators, like your cc isn't even that good first of all, second you're going against EA's TOS and using their resources so it's technically not fully yours! You don't get to lock it behind a perma-paywall and then threaten people who release it for free. I thought people would've learned their lesson after 2022 with the cowbuild/begdorf/leosims fiasco🙄

I saw this screenshot posted today on reddit r/sims4cc posted by u/meepcity-122. I don't take credit for it, I just wanted to share it here so other people can learn about it. Apparently the messages are from 2024 but maybe the person decided to speak out about it now? Idk but either way it should be exposed. I searched tumblr and I don't think this has been talked about before, but if it has let me know and I'll remove my post.

I still haven’t personally downloaded or bought that game but god did it give me a good ass chuckle seeing people upset they cant permapaywall or do early access for mods.

I can say I have played the sims 4 without (gameplay) mods and it is very fun; however that required me to have access to all of the packs (except that star wars one), that is the only downside to enjoy the game you have to pay alot of money over the years.

I haven't touched inzoi mostly due their generative AI system, I need more openness on how that works and if their system only is in house or are they stealing works from other artist. And never mind the environmental side of generative AI

The reviews on InZoi, especially by major gaming websites are making me giggle.

A lot of us have been playing The Sims since chunky white computers turned yellow (Compaq anyone?), and we know how great the franchise used to be.

But, have any of these people ("reviewers") played The Sims 4 for the past decade? Like, really. We're ten years in and The Sims 4 is still boring as hell, try playing it without mods and tell me I'm lying.

Sure, InZoi is far from perfect, it took me far too long to build a decent looking roof; but, to paraphrase one reviewer where they said InZoi was a soulless imitation of The Sims 4 is hilarious, what soul are they talking about?
