Bless up to the person who called this out on Reddit. Star stable is once again working with AI, this time in their music.

I could accept the shitty, hastily put together excuse that the Spotify banner was a mistake. Firing real artists is not a mistake. Signing a contract with a company that says this about AI is not a mistake.

Boldly and proudly watching on as someone declares that your values, and we as your audience, align with ai slop, is not a mistake. Having wanted to do this SINCE 2023 when you first heard of dj dex proves that the AI art wasn’t really a fucking mistake either.

I’m going to shoot your servers
I will point out, nowhere have I personally read that all of the music is generated in an AI program. The only references I’ve seen to AI is in the programming and her voice, which allows her to be used as a chatbot. However seeing as she sings in the Stay song used in the Fort Pinta disco, there are at absolute best pieces of AI generated bullshit in the actual songs used by SSO.

like, okay, consent does literally just mean agree. which is what enables this little rhetorical trick. because there's all this cultural emphasis on sexual consent, which is just expressed as consent, a lot of phrases whose intended meanings are "rape is bad" can be taken literally to mean "i should get to agree to everything that happens in my vicinity."

Spent tonight at a local short film festival. One of the shorts was made by two 12 year olds in their backyard and it was the best short of the entire night

“Of course autistic people can go to the bathroom by themselves and have jobs!!” Some can’t. They’re not burdens or an “epidemic” either. Please don’t get pulled into an argument about usefulness, because that feeds into their baseline eugenic idea that you have to “contribute to society” to justify your existence. Nobody’s worth is tied to what they can do for the state.

Credits for Interlude 2:
Art by @mayhemchicken-artblog
Story by @absolutely-and-always13
Edited by @dathen, @mayhemchicken-artblog, and @thegoatsongs

NOTE FROM THE TEAM: Ordinarily, we love to encourage people to read the works LXGF is based on. However, this interlude contains elements adapted from The Beetle by Richard Marsh, which we cannot in good consciousness recommend to anyone. Please do not read The Beetle; and should you do, please be warned that it is exceptionally (even for the 19th century) racist, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, orientalist, and contains among other things victim blaming of male assault victims and graphic animal cruelty. No context from The Beetle will be necessary for your enjoyment of this interlude.

Dialogue transcripts:
Panel 1 Godfrey: Well, you’ve heard enough about my case. How have things been with everyone here? Irene: Mr. Harker found a new clerk for the legal practice you’re all forming.
Panel 2 Irene (offscreen): It will be nice to have three of you working together. Godfrey (offscreen): Oh? Jonathan: What’s troubling you, Mina?
Panel 3 Mina: It’s only…I wish we had more answers from the sample of the sea creature we provided to Dr. Jekyll.
Panel 4 Jonathan: The similarities between our new specimen and the late king are a starting point. Perhaps one is copying the other? The synthetic imitating the organic? Mina: Or someone is manipulating all of this… Cat's meat man (offscreen): Ca-doo-mee!
Panel 5 (n/a)
Panel 6 Mina: ! Jonathan, did you see that?
Panel 7 Jonathan: What? The little white cat? Mina: I didn’t see that. I’m reminded of a certain friend of ours…
Panel 8 Jonathan: We should bring this stray home with us, then.
#invisible kitty! and an indirect robert mention - very curious to see how long he sticks around#lxgf#id in alt

today it was 1 thousand degrees outside and i had to wade through a creek in the woods for work obviously
so when i got into the office i was drenched in sweat and with POTS it's really difficult to regulate your temperature so after sitting in the air conditioned room for 15 minutes and changing my clothes i STILL wasn't cooling down
so i opened the chest freezer where we keep frozen food for our education animals and i sort of just? draped? stuffed? my entire head and torso into the freezer so my legs were just sort of hanging out behind me like maybe i had been crushed in some freak freezer incident.
i heard my colleague walk in behind me and then his foosteps stopped and i didn't know what to say so i waited for him to say something and he said, sounding not at all troubled, just the most neutral tone possible,
"well, this is unusual."

calling out for my mom in a moment of extreme pain and terror, but taking an aside to explain to the audience that i mean i want the concept of a mother as caregiver and protector to defend and rescue me rather than my literal mom, whose presence would neither bring me comfort nor improve the situation

Someone was asking in a thread what kind of people could work for ICE right now.
I think it's a good time to remember that the image above are the people who put children into gas chambers.
When I was little, I asked what kind of person could work at a concentration camp.
The answer to both questions I think is "normal people who have accepted the dehumanization of another group of people."
