One of Japan's strangest cryptids is a talking stegosaurus that was spotted in Atami, Shizuoka, on the morning of October 24, 2022.
It came from the mountains, said "Ohayo" (which means good morning in English) in Japanese to the witness, and walked away. Cryptid researcher Takeshi Nakazawa thought that a staff member carrying a stuffed monster greeted the witness, witness mistaking it for a talking dinosaur, because there had been a monster movie event in the area the day before.

Perhaps the most bizarre behavior of Tsuchinoko, a Japanese cryptid, is the vertical rotation it performs with its body in a straight line. This seems very odd to.

(Image shows jaw bone of Celebes crested macaque, not the bone found by Morse)
In 1879, zoologist Edward Sylvester Morse, while in Japan, reported the excavation of the right mandible of a "large baboon-like ape" from the Omori shell mound, a site dating back about 3000 years. He mentioned that this was similar to Celebes crested macaque and also thought it might be related to a large monkey monster from old Japanese folklore.

A man named Takano, who ran a blog in Japan, mentioned in his blog about a strange phenomenon he experienced and the cryptid that appeared at that time. One day when he was in junior high school, he saw what looked like a black plastic bag running up and over the flagpole, and when it reached the top, he observed with his eyes that it was actually a humanoid with black wings and a monkey-like face. During this experience, the students around him stopped moving and he did not hear any sound. He testified that this resembled a creature from Jeepers Creepers and referred to it on his blog as The creeper.

Ittanmomen is an atmospheric beast reported from Japan and described as looking like a giant band of cloth flying through the sky. According to folklore, it prefers to stick to human necks and faces to suffocate them, but no case of attack by Ittanmomen as cryptid seems to exist.

During the 1970s and 1980s, rumors of Mossie, a giant fish cryptid believed to be in Lake Motosu, Yamanashi Prefecture, became popular in Japan. This one is between 3 and 35 meters long, with testimonies that it resembles a carp and has a back like a crocodile.
Although this rumor is less prevalent these days, it does not mean that sightings have ended, and as recently as 2011, a diver reported seeing a large fish similar to Arapaima.

Its back is said to be two meters long, with a one-meter long jagged fin growing out of it. Its tail is said to be a bifurcated tail that looks like a crocodile's tail split in two, its limbs are said to be fin-like, and it has a short but plesiosaur-like neck.
The true identity of this "Sasayama Castle Monster" was not revealed until the very end. What do you think the true identity of this creature is?

According to a radio program about the occult in Okinawa, Japan, a cryptid named Okinawa Mothman was sighted about forty years ago (probably in the 1980s). When high school students stayed at school for a club camp, three of them decided to test their courage in the middle of the night in the bathroom. When the first person to try opened the second private room, there was something with big glowing eyes. The creature ran vigorously out of the private room and ran away, which was witnessed by the other two who were waiting their turn to challenge.

A Japanese on a trip to Guam reported seeing a four-limbed giant salamander-like creature while snorkeling in the ocean and observing sea cucumbers. Could the Guam marine salamander be a misidentification of a type of shark or a crocodile that came with the ocean currents?

This is believed to be the same Hoyaukamui, a dragon-like deity that emits poison and stench that is passed down in this vicinity.

According to a Japanese book, there is a "Chini Lake Kaiju" in the jungle near Chini Lake in Malaysia. It is described as being 10 meters long with golden scales all over its body and a horn in front of its nose and eyes. This information is only found in Japanese books, so it may be a hoax.
