I had a friend have their MYO ticket revoked after their design got rejected for "sparking drama". A minor argument (the two people are friend) really that got of hand when others got involved and the channel had to be shut down on the community discord.

It's been ages (like 3 years or so) since that happened but it left a sour taste in my mouth about closed species. Especially when one of the mods posted an auction about a design eerily similar to my friend's after they spent months in DMs and explaining their lore and design process with me. It's just overall so... bleghh to me >:(

No idea if the species is still around or not. I forgot the name due to my goldfish brain.

But this is so wild, I’d love to know what species this was if you ever recall anon!

What's your issue with the skire community? I've only become active again recently and everyone's been really nice so far

From personal experience + horror stories from friends, the community has a lot of issues..

A lot of the community consists of adults who whine about not getting something they wanted, rude members, the list goes on…

I have one or two friends/acquaintances who are in the community, and they’ve been the few exceptions I’ve had so far, but they’ve also had a lot of their own negative experiences within the community so.. I guess it varies by person?

What's are your favorite CS? And what are the ones u least like?

If I had to choose?

I love love loveeee Grabuki and Skire!! (Cccats and crooks to be more specific. I don’t love the community for Skire though.). I adore really any CS with a lot of lore based elements behind it, especially when it’s obvious that the creator put a lot of love and care into their species.

Darker/edgier cs are the SHIT!!!!

On the other hand, I dislike species that are very clearly cash grabs and/or are unoriginal. I.e what Chams and Terras became over time. Species with no lore behind them are hard to connect with/tie into my own works so I try to avoid them… (along with feral cs, but feral ocs just aren’t my thing 😓)

Money hungry CS will be the death of me. I used to be apart of one where you had to re-purchase a 30 dollar MYO just to unvoid the character.. to me that’s a little absurd..

I def need to find smaller cs because I hardly know any.. 😭
