why do people do this?

This is a doll I had fallen for when they first announced it last year, but bc of money problems I had to wait until recently to buy it. I bought one a few weeks ago as a belated bday gift to myself but her arm was missing a big chunk so I tried to get a replacement, but they were sold out.
I found another one and ordered it and it arrived today! I was so excited…. until I saw the box.
Someone bought it, took almost everything — the stand, the boots, earrings, HANDS, hair accessories, dress accessory, and second outfit— dyed her hair! - and put her back in the box with shoes and a jacket from an older doll and returned her…
and the person who packed my order apparently thought missing hands and lose dolls are in this season 🙄😩
Got another refund and a new replacement is on its way, and I just hope this one will be fine…. 😩
(BTW, the second photo is the first doll i got compared to this one so you can see how they dyed the hair)

The reason Goncharov was fun and worked well is because Tumblr didn’t plan for it, we just “yes and” it, everyone went with it and added to it with no planning while TikTok people with Zepotha are trying to recreate that by deciding to start a trend and tell people this movie existed, there isn’t even much more than “you look like this character” and sometimes people saying it was actually them.

Of course, the burkini ban is messed up on grounds of religious freedom and racial discrimination. But also
Under any other circumstances, people would be HORRIFIED at a government mandate that women have to show a certain amount of skin. Like. That’s fucking dystopian, and the absolute opposite of feminism. If a government tried to pass a law that all women had to wear tube tops and miniskirts to go outside, people would rightfully be up in arms demanding blood
But because it’s targeting a marginalized religious group, many folks are lauding the blatant forced sexualization of women. Appalling
(apparently the ban also outlaws things like sun – protecting bathing suits if they cover too much skin. Which like. Yes, let’s give everyone skin cancer just so we can spite a religion we’ve decided to hate. Sounds like a good plan </s>)

Always remember this is the one and only time I will ever speak about this Netflix live action adaptation of Avatar the Last Airbender.
The sexism elements are a very important part of the show. Sokka being a sexist at the beginning is important because it’s a part of his character development. He has this delusional view point of masculinity all while being ignorant about women and what they are capable of doing. He gets humbled hard by the Kyoshi warriors, especially by Suki, who mostly did all of the humbling, and that is where their relationship starts.
The sexist interactions between the water tribe water benders and Katara is in the show not just to have Katara gain a win over a man, but to prove her biggest point, which is simple: she is just as capable as the male water benders in the tribe, and she doesn’t care if she loses or wins, she is there to prove her case.
So removing the sexism in the live action show shoots Sokka’s character development in the foot, and it takes away the biggest character highlight for Katara. It would be just like them removing the genocide elements from the show because it would be too scary or too dark for kids, which would declaw the Fire Nation, especially Azula, who is the best female villain in the series.

a delusion does not mean a person should ever be dismissed, brushed off or disregarded.
delusions are beliefs that are extremely hard to shake regardless of how self aware we are.
a delusional person is not quirky, not rambling nothingness for the sake of attention, they are serious.
from believing youre dead or dying (cotard's) to believing your halucinations were real, these things are terifying for us. theyre real for us.
just because you know its not true doesnt mean we're making it up. we deserve to be heard, listened to and helped just like you and your issues.
delusional is not and should never be nor should it ever have been an insult. its a serious issue. take it seriously.

Just in case anyone else needed to hear this today-
Your health is not your fault. You didn’t do anything to “deserve” this. And you are right, it isn’t fair. You are allowed to feel upset, hurt, angry and jealous that your health, body or mind disables you.
It’s not fair, and that sucks. You are allowed to scream about that as much as you need to.

it's ridiculous that we have to scroll down to the "blog settings" and check this box to not get our art stolen by this shit "ai", and if it wasn't for my friend warning me I'd never even known.
I got no notification or update in privacy warning from tumbler... should be also illegal in Europe now right?

So jewqueer and iterations of this name has been a long time username of mine. prolly since 2012 easy.
Well i just turned 26 and i just left the family insurance and joined in on my work's insurance. I had already been with Kaiser before and around 2016 my mom switched to Aetna.
But when I was 14 I was legally allowed to create my own account with Kaiser to look at records and schedule my own visits. Even though I haven't touched this account since 2016, when I re-upped with Kaiser this account followed, username and all...
I had to call in to ask about my username and password to gain access as I had not known that I had an account at all.
The lady helping me was so sweet in that customer service insincerity as expected and was otherwise really helpful. Until she looked up my account to relay my username...
She GROANED audibly when seeing my username and slowly read back my username.
I am not allowed to change it either so no matter how old I am, and as long as I am with Kaiser. I am a jewfaggot to them. Not that at my core I ever stopped being jewish or gay.

As a former daddy’s girl who’s struggling with keeping a stable relationship with her father. “More than anything” hits me so freaking hard man.
Unlike Charlie, I was so close with my dad and we shared such a close bond. Now I’m older and not the same little girl who thinks the world of her dad. I see his mistakes and how he thinks and it’s changed how I see him.
I just wish we could connect again the way Charlie and Lucifer do but I know it’s not realistic in my situation.
I cried so hard man. I miss the person who I thought my dad was.

Okay. This is probably not that controversial of an opinion, but the Danny Phantom Christmas episode sucks. And not because I have a thing against Christmas. (I do, but that's not my point here.)
It's because everyone basically bullies Danny because no one has ever made the holiday enjoyable for him and continues that trend until he basically gives up. Like, the point is "Push this distressed and stressed person to the breaking point to get them to enjoy this thing they don't enjoy."
Like the entire episode is tone deaf. Like, 10 Points for being religiously inclusive and not assholes about other winter holidays, but -1000 points for having everyone basically say "I don't know why you're so upset about this holiday that you have trauma over. Get over it."
It is just a very upsetting episode that ends with Danny burying his trauma and going "Yay! Christmas is such a fun time."

A Reddit Post Got Me Steamed
Times It Is Appropriate To Use They/Them Pronouns:
referring to a group of people
referring to a hypothetical gender-nonspecific person
referring to someone whose gender you don't know
referring to someone who explicitly uses they/them, he/they, she/they, Any PronounsTM, etc.
if you call a specific person They, who you know does not have the "they/them" series among their pronouns, it is misgendering and extremely disrespectful.
it doesn't matter if you "use it for everyone" or if "it's just easier for you" or whatever. those excuses aren't acceptable from people who refuse to use singular they, and they aren't acceptable the other way around either
do better
(this is primarily an issue for binary trans people but! misgendering cis people is wrong and hurtful too! How About Don't Misgender Anyone!)

Keep seeing Avatar the last airbender posts about the show overstating stuff and not being nuanced enough. Bruh, some of us are watching the show with our mothers (who don’t know every single detail of the lore) and we’re asked about 20 different questions the first half hour of episode one.
It’s not as obvious as y’all make it seem, there’s a lot of politics that need to be inserted for the new viewers to understand, while at the same time include enough of the details and fun moments from the original to entertain the super fans.
Have some chill, a cup of Jasmin tea perhaps? And let them establish the story, this is what it’s like to start a new series, don’t forget that this show was not made exclusively for you, it was made for all of us and our mothers.
