REVOLUTION’S 9 TIPS TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY IN 12 WEEKS
1. WHAT DO YOU WANT? Through a goal setting session with one of our personal trainers, you will know exactly what you want to achieve. We will make sure your goal is really specific. So if your goal is weight loss, you will know exactly how much weight you want to lose. The more specific you can be, the greater your chance of success. 2. WHY DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL? What’s the emotional reason behind your goal? Be really honest with yourself. Is it to feel more attractive? Is it to look good on the beach for a particular holiday? What’s your real reason? Once you harness the power of emotions positively in your favour, then transforming your body becomes so much more possible. You’ll know when you and your personal trainer have agreed on the right goal for you because the thought of reaching that goal will fill you with excitement. 3. TAKE A BEFORE PHOTO This really helps to provide a much needed dose of reality. Sometimes in our busy lives it’s easy to ignore or fail to accept the true extent of our physical decline. And for some people when they first view their before photo they are truly shocked. This shock can have a hugely motivational effect and if you are up for the challenge then that will drive you on to make the sacrifices needed to transform your body. 4. PLAN YOUR TRAINING We will help you to plan out which days of the week you’re going to train and which days you’re going to rest. We will provide you with a training diary so you can make sure that you are sticking to the right schedule. 5. MEAL PLANS As part of our service, we will provide you with well-structured and thought out meal plans to follow. They will include quality carbs such as fresh fruit and vegetables, sweet potato and oats. Good fats such as avocado and natural yoghurt will be included, and proteins such as eggs, fish and organic meats will be a part of most meals. When we provide you with the food plans we remember that adherence to the plan is the most important thing. 6. BE ACCOUNTABLE! You will be accountable to your Revolution personal trainer and they will provide you with food diaries to fill in, so we can see exactly what you’re eating and drinking and at what time. We will discuss and communicate with you what is or isn’t working and provide you with alternatives and solutions where necessary. 7. EVALUATE YOUR PROGRESS How we evaluate your progress will be completely dependent upon what your goal is. So weekly weigh-ins for those looking for weight loss, or body fat measurements for those looking to get leaner. This is a chance to get some feedback on whether your plan is working for you. If you’re getting the results you want then you’ll know you’re on the right track, and if not then we know that something with your training or nutritional plan needs to be tweaked. 8. HAVE FUN! Enjoy the process of transforming your body and hitting your goal. There will inevitably be challenges, but a positive attitude and approach are an essential part of transforming your body in 12 weeks. At Revolution we understand the importance of having fun, and this is reflected in the unique atmosphere that we have in our studio. 9. TAKE AN ‘AFTER’ PHOTO This is a chance to have a reminder of your achievement forever. Knowing this photo shoot is coming will keep your healthy eating and training on track as your 12 week transformation draws to a close. The photo shoot is great fun, and seeing the before and after pictures together for the first time brings the whole process together. The ultimate proof of all your hard work and sacrifice!

The A4 Manifesto
Write a post about how overwhelming I am finding the scale of the challenges I face. Write that I need to get it all down on paper, but I can’t just allow myself to write endless lists, hence the a4 Manifesto, which will restrict each element of my life to a piece of a4 paper, where I can detail my aims and aspirations and targets.

A full life-audit
If I am to truly change my life, I will need a plan.  I will start from scratch, with a full life-audit.  For each of the following areas of focus, I will set new goals and standards and figure out exactly what needs fixing, what needs removing and what needs replacing.
> Physical health: this is the only body I will ever own, so it is time I took better care of it.  I will work on lowering my blood-pressure; lowering my blood-sugar levels and preventing the onset of type-II diabetes; lowering my cholesterol level; lowering my resting heart rate, and taking better care of my feet. > Strength and fitness: I have allowed my body to get flabby and terribly out of shape.  I will start to get regular exercise at the gym; work on getting stronger by sticking to a weight training programme; get fitter by stretching myself with cardiovascular exercise routines, and lower my levels of internal and external body fat. > Mental health and spirituality: I have been diagnosed with "dysthemia" and this is something I need to tackle head-on.  I will find out more about the condition and find ways to treat it; I will continue to improve my mental strength and tenacity by taking regular counselling and life-coaching sessions; I will strive to practice mindfulness and meditation on a daily basis, and I will spend more time at the beach and in the countryside. > Finances and money-making: More to follow ... > Fashion and cosmetics: More to follow ... > Home and household: More to follow ... > Arts and crafts: More to follow ... > Business and entrepreneurship: More to follow ... > Work and commuting: More to follow ... > Friends, family and relationships: More to follow ... > Hobbies and adventures: More to follow ...

Stop thinking you will be an artist when you get older. You pulled out two grey hairs yesterday - how much older do you want to be before you make it happen?!

Introduction
I am close to breaking-point.  My mind, rarely a haven of peace and serenity, has become so muddled recently; so overwhelmed, that it is no longer working as it should be.  My brain stutters.  My mind gets stuck.  I have too many open-tabs; too many processes whirring away in the background - too much crap cluttering up my memory.  I can’t think straight.  If I don’t do something about it soon, I am going to crash.
Over the past few years, I have developed some negative traits and these have led me down a rabbit hole.  I have burrowed left and right so many times I have ended up lost.  I feel like my brain and body have become slowly corrupted and I am no longer in charge of what I am doing or where I am going.  Instead of being a driving force, I am simply treading water; letting time pour through my hands. However, I have reached a point where enough is enough.  This is not who I want to be.  This is not the life I want to lead.  I am capable of so much more.
It is time to regain control of myself, put a stop to my negative thoughts and get rid of the things that are holding me back.  In other words, it is time for a refresh - to purge and re-start - to de-fragment this brain and re-build my life.
It is time to re-boot my system.
