"people do that? that feels counterproductive." who'd upset their tattoo artist? that'd guarantee spelling errors or something. angel would prefer his first & potentially only tattoo to be good. not the spiteful work of a man who wished him ill. he got the feeling he wasn't like that, so ..he remained calm in the feline's presence, if still a little nervous.
there were a lot of good designs in the folders, but nothing that called to him. maybe he wasn't meant to have tattoos. although the offer .. was really sweet. he smiled brightly & gave a little nod. "okay, yeah - promise i won't burn the place down or tattoo myself in the meantime." he had a quick look around, letting his eyes roam over the walls & the interior before finding a seat close-by. phone out, he was just browsing when the other returned with a really, really beautiful sketch. beaming, he nodded in excitement. "yeah, yeah - i love it! is that about the size it's gonna be?"
This interaction made Jaxon chuckle more then most as he didn't feel tense around the omega like other people he had worked for did. The werelynx was definitely trying to get the guy to trust his skill but at least Angel wasn't demanding things like he owned the place. That was a breath of fresh air for sure. "Trust me, if you're awkward- its cute. I'm just mainly thankful that you're not coming in here with a hostile attitude demanding I do this or that.. those clients are the worst." he portrayed.
He watched the other flipping as he immediately jotted down the words of inspiration he was looking for. "hmm give me a couple minutes and I'll see what I can do.. I have an idea. You can have a look around if you want.. just try not to touch anything with a switch.. think you can handle that, gorgeous. I'm just gonna go into my office and make a quick sketch." Time passed by as he started going ham with the little flowers and his lion. --- He came back. "Hey Angel, what do you think of this?" he inquired.

"it wasn't, you're not awkward, i promise. if anything, i am." he didn't know why, but he felt really nervous in his presence & it showed. not that angel wasn't always a little awkward around people. he blamed his father for being a helicopter dad, really. angel was so paranoid at this point that he expected his dad to watch him twenty-four-seven. shaking his head a little, he sighed softly, still absent-mindedly flipping through the many pages. he liked a lot of them, but they weren't what his heart longed for.
"oh, ..thanks...?" he didn't exactly feel like an angel, he just didn't like his proper name, it... he wasn't feeling it most of the time & his dad calling him angel ever since he was a little cub... yeah. still. "you could? i...want something simple ..subtle.. maybe like really basic but with flowers? i wanna.. yeah, i think i'd like that. maybe ..um.. on my back?" he could hide that if he chickened out & decided not to tell his dad.
The alpha didnt know what it was about the other that made him hard to take his eyes off him, but he didnt mind if the other didnt. He wanted to make a good first impression, give him the tattoo he wanted and let him leave with a good solid experience. He tried to be as polite as he could, standing up straight and not crossing his arms while the other made a decision, but the alpha wanted to fidget. He settled for putting his arms on the counter and watching him from a respectable distance.
Jaxon cleared his throat as he shook his head. "Yeah maybe one day, sorry if that was awkward. He shook the others hand firmly and smiled. "Angel, what such a fitting name for you." he replied. He let go and looked at the other before slowly touching the idea book and flipping to where he could help find the lions if he had any. "That sounds like a great choice, if you dont see something you like maybe I can draw it for you. I wouldn't mind... you'd just have to let loose a little bit, a dig deep with your emotions that way I can sense the true feelings and vision you want out of this. Angel."

angel didn't go on dates often, or at all. his father would probably not be too happy about it either - he could already hear him groan about the choice angel made, but he didn't care. if he wanted to see the tattoo artist again, then he would & he really, really did want to see him again, away from all this. just the two of them. he flipped through the pages, trying to let them fuel his imagination, bring him ideas & the like. he had a vague idea what he wanted, but it wasn't quite enough to go far.
"....wow, okay. uhhh, no chinese, got it." he wasn't going to get words tattoo'd anyway. not yet at least & definitely not chinese. cheeks flushed at the brash comment, angel glanced away, back down on the pages he'd been flipping through. "y-yeah... maybe a little too obvious for now, but maybe one day." smiling a little, he shook the other's hand, letting his own ...linger within the alpha's for a little too long. "angel. my last name's a mouthful, so angel's good. nice to meet you, jaxon." when he finally pulled his hand away, fingers went to play with the edge of the pages he'd been flipping. "so um... i don't have a lot, but i wanted to get a lion. i know.. it's kinda lame, but i was thinking something ..not quite on the nose but y'know? it's who i am."
He playfully pumped his fist in the air, with a little "yes!" excited to get the chance to impress the omega further. "Thank you thank you wont regret it, I promise it will a great time." he smiled. Jaxon was trying his hardest to really make friends but he knew his rowdy and reckless behavior like jumping off a roof into a pool wasnt for everyone. "Of course, its my pleasure beautiful." He flashed a smile as he took a step back for a second drinking some water from his thermos.
"Them trying to get me sued for them not having 100% translation accuracy when they asked to get tatted, its complicated. If you really want to know - i can get more into the details later. Lets just find you something that will make you happy. I know you have to have some ideas in that brain of yours. I would say your neck is a nice place for a canvas but thats a little too obvious even if someone were to just mark it" Jaxon scratched his neck nervous about being so forward. "I'm Jaxon, Jaxon Glass he offered his hand. And you are?" he chuckled.

"yeah, yeah - i'd like that." did he just ... pick up a date while trying to rebel against the suppression of his father? that felt ...too easy. not that he'd complain. the alpha was handsome & smart, though he assumed his dad would not be happy. not that he cared. he'd meet him anyway. bright smile, teeth played with his bottom lip - a nervous habit he couldn't always suppress. "oh yeah, cool, thanks." ready to browse through the many examples in the binders, he glanced up when the other spoke again.
"lawsuits because ..of tattoos? why?" that ...made no sense to him, but then again he didn't really know much of the outside world & how people lived out there. he always wondered about humans & the way they lived their lives, but .. he also knew he had no place out there among them. this was his home. "no chinese, got it." part of him wanted to ask about japanese, simply due to his indirect heritage. (he wasn't japanese, but his grandfather was... is). "uh... yeah, i think so. just...for now. if i get another, i'll make it really obvious." soft chuckle, pages were flipped & he had already found a few patterns he liked. "you ..never told me your name."
Jaxon didnt want to sound cocky but he knew he was right when it came to the name of the game that is tattoos in New Haven. He was happy that the omega feline was in his presence, and he was gonna make sure that the youngin' had a great first piece. "Not to lay it on thick or anything, but definitely gorgeous. I'd like that - maybe I could take you out sometime. If you wanted." He hoisted two big binders off one of the shelves. "I have dividers so its easy to look through. And if you want to look at something like pinterest I have my tablet here too." He smirked.
"Theres only one condition when it comes to me, but I feel like you should hear it. I dont care how much you pay me but I don't do foreign language tattoos ive dealt with my fair share of lawsuits. So please no chinese script? Got it?" He declared. "Now im guessing you want to hide this from your father so we need a secret but good canvas am I correct?"

"i guess you're right." angel smiled a little, though he couldn't help but want to know how it all worked. there was so much in this world they all took for granted. something he actually had to thank his father for was that he thought about things. he didn't accept life & order as it was, he questioned, he learned. he was raised to strive for more than he thought he was. "it's still pretty cool. you'll have to tell me all about it one day." did he make the ink himself? did he order it? could he tell him who made it if not him? did he have to look for anything special when applying it? it was safe, right?
"i am, but i'm not a kid anymore and he's got to accept that, y'know?" he could make his own decisions, even if he lived in his father's house still. it didn't matter, he could still decide for himself. "do you have like.. inspirational books or something? wait, do you also do piercings?"
Was Jaxon getting a little handsy a bit too early? Maybe. But, he didn't care. He wanted to get this guy what he wanted. The older male was known for his hospitality and can do attitude. "Well gorgeous, most people don't think about that part but its very vital for this whole establishment to exist." He chuckled as he did a "jazz hands like gesture" to add effect.
The alpha made a sound of approval when the other took his hand and agreed to be a little bit more reserved and chillax. "We can figure that out together, especially since this is a permanent thing. Maybe we get it somewhere your dad doesn't normally see a lot. If youre worried about backlash from it. "

"y-yeah, i can. of course i can." he was not a child. why did everybody always imply that? why did they always imply that - just because he was his father's son... that he couldn't take care of himself? that he was some spoiled little good-for-nothing. he wasn't. it wasn't his fault his father was who he was. he didn't ask for it. not that he saw anything wrong with his dad. well, there was a lot wrong, but nothing that would make him wish for another home to call his own. that all had nothing to do with why he was here or ...what he was going to do. it had nothing to do with anything. "i'm not my dad, okay?" the young lion almost growled, but it somewhat died on the way up out of his chest.
everything moved so slowly. it was almost like he watched it happen to him, unable to react or move. or maybe that was just normal when an alpha feline - the top tier alpha to even exist... acknowledged your existence. he was so close, his strong scent so .... so intimidating. dark eyes eyes rested on the other's face as he closed in, closer .... closer, closest. breath held, his eyes responded to the crimson flash, angel's own shining bright golden. breath released, shaky & low... danilo was everywhere at once, all around him - arms, his face... his scent had already made a home in his lungs.. he couldn't escape, but he also didn't want to. to find that ... he could catch the attention of an alpha like him was ... unbelievable. angel felt a high unlike anything he'd ever felt before.
"i'm... i'm not. i just think you're ... you're very handsome and ummm.. yeah. i saw you looking at me and i thought maybe... i mean, that maybe you ummm.. wanted me to come over." riling up alphas? he ...hadn't tried to. but wait? did he have that influence on him? & there went that. his chest puffed up a little in pride, though he was still effectively meshed in-between alpha & dead end, so ... he didn't have many places to go. "i didn't mean to bother you. i-if you umm, if you'd rather i go, i can just..." run home & hide for the rest of his life, probably.
Angel was tantalizing for a hunter like Danilo, even beyond his scent and the potential for encroachment he presented. Any chance to remind omegas of their place in this world would be one he leaped at, especially prideful ones like Ryan. The lion had the gall to command Danilo to stay away from his cub, which made the prospective conquest that much more appealing.
Not to mention, the cub was practically begging for it. He took the bait and fell for Danilo's trap, leaning in further as the Alpha leaned back to gain his favor unaware of the tiger claws slowly boxing him in. "You can take care of yourself, huh?" he comments in the same, aggressively mocking tone. Danilo says this as if in disbelief, though still puffs at Angel's assertion. The omega was clearly fishing for Danilo's approval in one way or another, dangling himself in front of the tiger's maw blind to the risk. He was lucky the Alpha never turned down good prey and always played with his food.
"I don't think so, ain't got shit to do with your moon or nothing. Just what happens when you get your head pumped full of your prude father's crap." A cub repressed dancing on the edge of danger to try and break free was a quarry Danilo could understand. He stands, a cross between a purr and a growl terminating from his chest as he saunters into Angel's space. Trapping him into the corner of the outdoor deck area, Danilo's eyes flash red for a moment as his arms form a new cage around Angel, claws scraping against the metal as his hands grip the railing. The way he scents the omega is borderline lewd, inhaling the sweetness wafting from Angel while making no effort to quell the lusty projection of his own thoughts in his musk. "What? Did you feel safe coming to a bar like this, looking like that? You made a bad call kid, or maybe..." Danilo's voice drops as he lowers his face directly into the other's, commanding Angel's attention. "...you're too damn smart and know exactly what you're doing. Riling up Alphas for kicks your idea of omega work?"

he wasn't very funny it seemed. well, angel knew that, but he'd tried regardless. well, he'd just have to try harder next time. he'd never stopped to wonder what it meant to be in the business of making tattoos for supernaturals, but now that he pointed out the healing, he couldn't help think. right. "that's ...impressive actually. i never like... thought about that side." especially the werefolk, like they both were ... they healed so quick. oh, & dragons! wait, could he even tattoo dragonbloods? wasn't their skin super thick? he probably shouldn't ask. not now. he was probably disturbing him anyway & postponing the shop from opening or something.
when a really big, but also really soft hand came to rest upon his chin, he just ...stopped. as if time stood still right now, he allowed for their eyes to meet, his own dark ones lost in the brightness of the other's. "okay, alright. if you say so." he shot the other a little smile, followed by a nod. one of his hands came up to rest against the other's. "thanks. it's uhhh.. it's my first and my dad's probably gonna kill me, but i really want one." he had a vague idea what he wanted, but the details as to where, how & why were ...unclear.
Jaxon was a little surprised that the other was up here at this time of day. But, its not like the alpha was truly doing anything while word still got out around New Haven that he existed. the other was very cute and something about his bashfulness seemed to entice the werelynx. Jaxon did sense there was a bit of hesitation and he didnt know if would be the right thing to try and convince him to get some ink or tell him it would be okay if he didn't.
"Well that's good, I'm glad that my sense of smell is pretty fair cause its kinda hard to hear from back there." He smirked. "Oh there's nothing fake about it, sweetheart Its a major responsibility to have this type of job. Sure there are thousands of tattoo artists out there - but I have to use magic ink for us supernaturals.. or healing would take over and it would just fade away." he bit his lip as the other seemed to cower away, his empathetic and welcoming nature wanting to come out. 'Fuck it' he thought. "Hey, look at me." Jaxon bellowed as he softly reached across the counter and pulled his chin back to his focus, their eyes meeting. "You are perfectly fine, and I am open. You clearly had a purpose of being here. So let have a consult and talk about what you're looking for. You don't have to go. I promise i'm patient and take the best care of my clients to ensure trust is given. this is permanent after all." he grinned.

he should've caught his scent before, but angel had been too busy pretending he wasn't afraid of the consequences of his actions today. sure, he wanted this & sure, he wanted to teach his father a lesson, but ... he was a daddy's boy a tattoo was a life-long change to his body, so... he had to be sure. he was, but he also wasn't. or something like that. he was raised to think & he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, because if he didn't always ponder on big decisions, he might've actually got somewhere in his life by now. not that he didn't.. he just didn't really know what he wanted from life..
"oh. no, not long at all." angel shot the other a smile, trying so very hard not to let it show just how hard he was ogling him. was he new in town? he had to be. angel was quite sure he'd know if there had been a handsome ..... something feline in town. his eyes alone... it was quite the strain not to get lost in them, though ... he might have...done exactly that. snapping out of it with a little cough & a little shuffle, he looked up at him again. "pretty sure. unless the name's just bait and you're not actually seeing tattoos." his own little try to quip back. "if you're not open yet i can come back another day..." he noticed he was the only one there & didn't want to be a bother.
Jaxon Glass was nothing short of a mystery, although he wasnt your typical "tall, dark, and handsome" type. He had an edge to him but he wasnt necessarily a character you'd write home about. He was just getting his life together after appealing to the council about opening up his own tattoo parlour in the mall. Luckily, with their approval Lunar Ink Studios was know official and open for business. He expected things to be slow as who knew what revenue all this town chaos would bring. He was just glad he could be doing something that he loved. Jax was a real artist at heart.
He was just doing an inventory check to see what he really needed to save up for and cleaning up the place as the last owners of the space hadn't been here in quite some time and their were cobwebs all around. He wasn't even aware of a potential customer being on the other side of back office the only privacy was a red silk curtain. Jax carried a box, as he smelled another being close by. "Oh hello there, sorry have you been waiting long, man?" he smirked. He could tell the other was a bit nervous. The older male teased him trying to break the tension shown in his body language. "You sure you're in the right place?

@scalesandspclls (u know who)
this was ...the ultimate rebellion. he wasn't sure how he got this far, maybe it was because of danilo making him feel small & innocent, maybe it was because of his father acting like he was a little boy or maybe he just wanted to do this for himself. when the old tattoo parlor closed down, angel regretted not having gone there before & for the longest time he thought council wouldn't allow another to open, but thankfully ...they did. now... angel wasn't afraid, nor was he shy (he was), but he'd pondered on whether he should go or not... for days. it didn't help that their entire town had been in uproar for the past week & that he'd practically not seen his father in two weeks.
today was the day though. he'd do it, he pushed in through the doors & hovered inside by the counter for ..a little while, not sure what the etiquette was for ..well, the inside of a tattoo shop. was he supposed to demand attention? wait? cough? stomp in? well, it appeared he didn't have to worry too long, because when he glanced up after fiddling with his courier bag in order to retrieve his wallet, he .... almost choked on his tongue. shit. "h-hi!" don't yell, dumbass. he couldn't help a little purr to roll off his chest, the scent of alpha & feline just ... too much to remain calm. "hey.."

angel wasn't usually so ..short of words, or fidget-y, he wasn't even sure why he was so goddamn intimidated, although - looking at the alpha in all his glory, all sprawled out, comfortable & well-dressed.. he got a pretty good idea why he was struggling so much. duh. he'd not expected this or he'd definitely have worn something nicer. although - one could argue, everything in his closet was nice. one way or another. angel didn't really have a set ..style. he wore what he liked & maybe today he'd felt like a shirt that hugged his body quite nicely & bright blue torn jeans that hugged his hips. maybe he didn't come prepared, but he was ready regardless.
once they were in each other's ...personal space, something his father abhorred when it came to alphas, while angel... quite relished in the strong musk that wafted over at him & up his nostrils. how could he possibly withstand? he was still attempting to present himself the best possible way in front of the other, so his comment took the young lion by surprise & he wondered if maybe he'd been silly to think he was the actual interest of the handsome alpha blood moon. that one was obvious. blood moons & the way they could stare you down like you're the most delicious meal. that & the claws, of course. "sorry, i didn't meant to uh--" he was motioning between them & back across the road where they'd made eye contact first. was he just that--? an interruption? had he ..imagined the look he got? was he so desperate to be free he saw things?
he was about to announce his departure, tail tucked - ears drawn back & pride definitely scratched up roughly, but without the rough lovemaking he hoped for when he crossed the street, but then he smiled - or rather grinned & the intensity of it let his cheeks redden just a little, though that didn't last for long. it felt like this between them just wasn't meant to be. ryan's boy. he.. was not a boy & he had a name. soft sigh, defeat was slowly crawling up on hm & dampening his mood, especially that .. comment. when he glanced up again, hands in the pockets of his jeans, he frowned a little & shook his head no. "angel. yeah." he wasn't ryan's boy - he was his own person. "if you mean it's nice to be caged, then you've never seen the inside of one." a golden cage was still .. a cage.
he loved his dad & all that, but he was not a ... that. he was capable. but what did that matter? "i'm ...not sheltered. i can take care of myself, just like everybody else. maybe not outside, but i'm also not a blood moon." of course he knew. "or an alpha." of course he knew that was nonsense, but one of his father's many long tirades ... well, all of them had pretty much only one topic. danilo, the alpha macho. little did his dad know that angel very much had a thing for that type. he could play along, be the omega danilo wanted him to be, he wanted to be. "better leave alpha work to alphas." he shot him a little grin, all teeth & cheeks.
There wasn't an omega on this earth who could tell Danilo what to do. Angel wasn't some forbidden fruit, for that to be true he'd have to actually respect Ryan's boundaries. No, the young cub was just like anyone else: a fresh morsel for Danilo to roll on his tongue during his idle time in New Haven. Clocking the werelion in his red-eyed gaze was purely a matter of happenstance. He was out, Danilo saw, and he really couldn't help when something pretty walked by. Omegas existed for his pleasure after all.
Though Angel was special, a quarry of a different kind altogether. Danilo knew him and knew him well. Ryan never shut up about his son, and he certainly did more than necessary to demand Danilo keep his gaze far from the little cub. Naturally, that only served to pique his appetite.
A low rumble, a not-so-subtle once over, and a casual swig as he remains leaned back are Danilo's only responses. He didn't summon or prompt, but apparently, his hunter's energy delivered its own message. "On the outside, things can get brutal. That's why riders don't really take well to having their downtime interrupted." Danilo stares at Angel pointedly, just to watch him fidget more. He eventually grinned, a vicious smile that conveyed his game had already started.
"You're Ryan's boy," he states without any guise of uncertainty. When it came to omegas, Danilo struggled to remember their names and faces. At the end of the day they were all the same no matter how unique they pretended to be. Just another form of prey to a hunter like Danilo, which was why he never forgot a nice set of curves or an alluring scent. "I can smell him on you. Plus, you're about all he talks about. Must be nice, having him around to plan your life. Sheltered, soft, I bet you don't worry for a damn thing. Like a housecat."

mother nature had ...quite mysterious ways of bringing people together if they were meant to be - or tear them apart if not. after... it wasn't like he'd stalked the alpha, but had he made sure to be there whenever his dad got back from the weekend missions? maybe. had he worn the prettiest things he could find to impress? maybe. it... seemed to have worked & there weren't words enough in this world to describe how ecstatic he felt about that. they'd spoken here & there, it felt like... the alpha took the time to get to know him, which only confirmed what he'd prayed for. he's different when it's you.
& angel was ready. he'd been out partying late, a little tipsy probably & ready to make his way home when a familiar scent hit his nose shortly before that voice he'd come to like hit the shell of his ear. soft purr & gentle gasp, his pants giving in all too easily to the curious paw looking for ..more. he couldn't help clench against that teasing finger, but he leaned back against the alpha's broad chest regardless, holding onto one of his sleeve...for several reasons. "w-we... we can write one together, you.. you and me. dad's... not gonna be home for the night."
@cubprotected based on 15C
"Please, I need your help. I have to find a story to get me through the long nights on the outside," Danilo purrs gently into Angel's ear, a stark contrast to the rough grip he maintains on the omega's plump ass. One could only window shop for so long, and once Danilo saw his chance he pounced, needing to feel for himself how well the young cub could fit into his hand. From the way Danilo's ring finger was able to tease Angel's hole while he kept on groping, the handful of cake wasn't too much to handle at all. "Something hot and bold, something good enough to quell my ruts. Know any stories like that, kitten?"

it was ... the bad boys that caught his attention. he didn't know why, it wasn't like angel ...was into danger per se. how could he be when he'd grown up with the father he had? always worrying if he'd come home & missing out on family dinners & the like, because evil never slept & ryan had to work late. he wasn't looking for danger, he wasn't looking to get his heart broken, but ... what could he do when love came for him out of the blue?
he'd seen him with his father & was pretty sure danilo had seen him, too - he knew they rode out together sometimes & when his father came back home... angel got to sniff the alpha off him. it was ... nice. angel didn't expect to ever speak with him or even find himself caught in his radar, because he knew options in town were unlimited & he was a fish in a big-ass pond, but when he saw the rider nurse a beer on a stroll during town, he couldn't help his heart from jumping.
& it only quickened when the alpha's eyes ... found his. did he glance to his sides to see if he was the only one there? .....yes. he was not in company of beautiful omegas on his left or right, so... him? was it because of his dad? was he the little plus one that was only paid attention to because he liked his dad? that stare... made his blood freeze, but in the best ...best possible way.
he was so handsome. he couldn't think of any alpha his own age who even got close. but he was bad news, right? his father .. seemed not to be a fan of him & they did spend quite some time together, right? although, he wouldn't be surprised if it was his father's fault - really, angel knew he ... was moody sometimes. like a moth drawn to flame, angel practically levitated across the street to where the alpha sat, all handsome & dangerous as he leaned against some wall to enjoy his beer & ....hunt? was he hunting? where could he sign up to be his prey?
"...hi. you.. work with my dad, right?" while he pretended to ponder on the alpha's name, which .. was a farce really, he fidgeted with a wristband, "..danilo? you guys do really great work, y'know?"
#werepackers#werepackers [001]#werepackers; danilo#we can like ignore this in favor of the smexy one for the time being i don't wanna swarm u#but for my mental wellbeing i needed the “main” thread to be before the other#angel having inherited his dad's awkward inability to flirt? yep

Angelo - or rather Angel doesn't know much about his family past his father and his aunts, but he's never really missed family he didn't meet before. Sure, sometimes he saw generations of families together, celebrating holidays and then there was him and his father - all alone. But, he had the person with him who meant the world to him and he knew it was the same way for his dad, so what did he have to complain about, really - right?
But back to the beginning. Angel was born in New Haven to one grumpy lion officer. He was a detective now, but not back then. He .. was never told the entire story, but he knew that his sire hurt his dad and they broke up, which left Ryan to raise him mostly alone, but Angel remembers his grandparents quite clearly despite the young age he'd been, he remembered his grandmother's voice as she sang him to sleep and .. he missed her. He .. lived quite the lonely life. With a father who had been hurt so deeply he lost trust in the people he had sworn to protect and no other siblings, Angel spent a lot of time at home. His father worked a lot, so he spent most of that time alone.
Ever since his aunts moved back to New Haven, Angel had at least some company on the very frequent late night shifts his father took on. He had friends in school, of course, but they didn't often come over to his place - nor was he allowed out too late. It wasn't like he was unhappy growing up, he wasn't. He was loved and cared for, but .. lonely nonetheless. Sometimes. But he had enough hobbies to make up for the lack of company most days; some were bestowed upon him by his father, some he picked out himself. But one thing they always did together on the weekends was an old family tradition - at least his dad said so. The art of Kyudo. Japanese Archery. So, neither Ryan nor Angel looked the part, but Ryan worshipped his father and had gladly taken over many of his old Japanese traditions and honestly? Angel enjoyed them greatly. There was ... beauty in many of them, the slow and deliberate movements, the calm and the peace he felt when exercising them.. it was truly stunning and a wonderful experience.
With gentle nudging from his father, but also due to a lack of options, Angel found himself devouring books of all kinds in his free time and - while it might've been subtly forced once upon a time, Angel developed a love for them, so when he graduated from highschool, he knew his father would demand he attended college. He did. He was. Although he still wasn't sure if he really wanted to become a teacher. Because part of him wanted to follow in his father's footsteps to protect the town that had been a safe haven to them through their lives. He could also see himself doing something else entirely - maybe dance or the ranch. Never good at making decisions, he assumed he had a few years to find out still, but also decided to not only add experience to his resume, but also help his father with the money for the house a little. He ... had an idea where to work and managed to get a part time job at the book store.
Maybe meeting new people would help him spread his wings and find his own way around New Haven one day.
