Hello All, My name is Denise and I adopted an elderly cat from a shelter to save him from being put down.
This beautiful darling is called Stitch and he is 15 years old! I took him out of the shelter because older cats are often left there and end up getting either euthanised or spend the rest of their lives in a tiny cage and I believe they deserve better.
When I got Stitch he was only diagnosed with a sensitive stomach which required special food, a cost I am happy to pay.
However recently he has been scratching and biting himself a lot resulting in multiple open wounds on his paws and nose. We discovered he is suffering from pretty severe diabetes and he needs a plethora of medicine to cure his skin and he also needs an insulin injection twice a day as well as special diabetes food and a monthly visit to the vet.
I was able to cover the cost for the first few visits and some medicine but I unfortunately lost my job when the company shut down due to covid. I can't afford to pay for his treatments any more which is why I am asking for your help to give this old fella a happy retirement.
I am currently in the process of looking for a home where he will be loved and where his medicine costs can be covered but untill I find that home I need some help!
The target amount I indicated will cover the costs for 3 months, within those 3 months I hope I will be able to find him a happy new home. All the left over money will go with him to the new owners.
Please help out this incredibly sweet cat, who still has a lot of years and spunk left in him if on proper medication.
Much love,
Stitch's Mom.

did anyone else ever just feel like you had to kill yourself but not because you particularly wanted to die? just as a person you felt like you were incompatible with life and it was inevitable that at some point you would have to die because you would no longer be able to cope with living

One day, whether you are 14, 28 or 65, you will stumble upon someone who will start a fire in you that cannot die. However, the saddest, most awful truth you will ever come to find - is they are not always with whom we spend our lives.
