Also, sona reveal!! Since I’m on team crystals, I had to roll with Opals since they’re my favorite gem. It’s a combination of regular opal and black opal, and the water jug + appendages come from the fact they’re made with water!

Amos redesign!! A little about him below since I realize I haven’t shared much:

In between the skyborne Havens and subterranean Underworld lies the lawless Surface, a vast and dangerous terrain that stretches for countless miles. It’s the place Amos calls home: down here, no authority can judge him, and the entire world is his oyster. With his biker gang of fellow surface dwellers, he goes on daring adventures through the dense jungles, rolling hills, and harsh badlands searching for treasures left behind by the previous Crusade. Or, to find the next big surface beast to turn into a tasty roast!

Once a powerful soldier of the Havens, Amos has taken a liking to his new life. Who knows where his whims will take him, once a little boredom seeps in? That’s the excitement of being truly free!

Met a character designer who works in the industry, I showed her my character designs and I told her I was more of a board artist but was getting into character designs. and she said "I can tell!"

GREAT NEWS!!! after a session of locking in, 2/3rds of the animatic (minus the backgrounds, those come last) have been officially lined!! I have the last part left to do, then after color blocking, backgrounds, and some camera work, the animatic will be done!!

super proud of how quickly I turned myself around after trying out a new work ethic <3 no deadlines to be set, but hopefully I can keep this flow state up and get it done by fall or sooner!

It’s mainly meant to be a play on Versus (angels vs demons) and Vice Versa (same sentiment but order reversed, angels ↔️ demons). It started as a cool sounding story title I made for fun, with no connection to the angel vs demon story I later came up with. til I one day put them together and rolled with it

I think I’m leaning a little more towards continuing the animatic and writing a disclaimer at the beginning. It’s sad I have to do it to begin with, but I’m glad I’m more knowledgeable of the situation now

I’ve had a handful of people tell me I shouldn’t throw away all my hard work, and it’s very nice of them. I just hope others understand ^^;
