House of Arnstein

Los von Arnstedt (también llamados Arnstein) son una antigua familia que proviene de lo que hoy se conoce como Austria, cerca de la frontera con Alemania. Su patriarca es Balthazar von Arnstedt, no se conoce otro vampiro que estuvo a la cabeza de la familia, si se sabe de humanos de otras líneas de la familia de Balthazar que le han servido durante siglos a cambio de protección frente a otras criaturas que podrían atacar la villa cercana a la fortaleza de los von Arnstedt. Balthazar ha creado a otros vampiros, siendo Ludwig y Cathal los principales y más importantes dentro de su linaje.

Hace varios siglos que dejaron su hogar ancestral buscando nuevas oportunidades. Desde 1800 que tienen como residencia fija los Estados Unidos, especialmente Cleveland.

Cada miembro de la familia cumple con un propósito, además de servirle a sus creadores (Balthazar & Evie). Trabajan desde las sombras sin que nadie se entere de sus movimientos porque es importante para Balthazar mantener un perfil bajo.

Recientemente han sufrido la perdida de dos de sus miembros: Eugene, el menor de todos, convertido en vampiro en 1946. Falleció a manos de una cazadora impía; y Cathal, que dejó su clan luego de recuperar su alma, provocando sorpresa y dolor en su familia. 

Los personajes están basados en personajes de los libros El descubrimiento de las brujas. Son leves ideas para tener un punto de partida, no son completamente similares y se pide que tampoco lo sean al momento de crealos.

Para tenerlo más claro cuales son las contrapartes: Balthazar (Philippe de Clermont); Evie (Ysabeu de Clermont); Ludwig (Baldwin de Clermont); Cathal (Hugh/Gallowglass de Clermont); Arthur (Matthew de Clermont); Minnie (Verin de Clermont); Eugene (Godfrey de Clermont/Marcus Whitmore). Los personajes son inspirados, no tienen que tener la historia exactamente igual a los personajes de la serie/libros.
