Ahhhh!!! It pays to be fit and being able to run a sprint down the long corridors of Heathrow (with of course your gate being at the other end of the terminal to add spice to the endeavour) while at the same time avoiding other passengers and slaloming around luggages and buggies trying to thwart your race to the finish line!! What a run - I bet I must have broken my record for the 1km!! The gate of the plane was literally closing when I got in!! Anyway it all started with terrible traffic on he M4 and me having to go back to Barons Court on the Piccadilly Line to catch a train to Heathrow. Delays... I make it to Term 5 and manage to have a business call on a transaction which I am doing in Africa. Then I get told I got the wrong terminal and that I should go to Term 3!! Term 3 for BA?!? Right. I take the Heathrow "Express" which also is delayed by 15 min due to a technical fault. I rush to the check-in and baggage screening and there the x-ray machine in my queue breaks down. I get moved to another queue where I land on an over-zealous controller wanting to analyse every single corner of the scan on his screen and consult with his colleagues. I finally get my luggage and rush, almost knocking down a few old couples leisurely walking in the terminal. And the race starts... but now taking off with a glass of Louis Roederer Brut!!! On my way to Nairobi!!! Sayonara!!! (at Heathrow Terminal 3)
