the evening monacoian air is a sobering aide to a drunk camille, slipping out of the ephemere estate’s backdoor to stroll poolside and give herself reprieve from the rest of her chaotic friends; so when she spots rory laying on a chaise, she’s startled to say the least — she could’ve SWORN she had just seen the other girl inside. the thought’s more than enough to make her shake her head with a puzzled wince and furious blinking before approaching. “ ‘m fuckin’ losin’ it, i think, ” she murmurs, joining the other on the matching chair right beside her, “ whatcha doin’ out here ? ” the light seeping out from the house — as well as that of the moon — makes it easier to see rory in the darkness as she gives camille an answer, it resulting in the elder woman’s gaze to turn upwards to the sky. it’s hard to discern some clusters of stars, much like it would be back in los angeles or even in ottawa, given the glow of city lights altering their visibility. however, what she  C A N  make out brings a gentle grin to her lips, flushed cheeks and glazed eyes complementing it to give her a sated expression. “ it is really pretty… would be better if there weren’t so many lights on. ” a slight pout fixes itself on cami’s face momentarily ( damn light pollution ), turning back to her friend while the shouting and thumping of the others reaches her ear from indoors. “ ’s still a nice way to relax, though. ” it’s on that note that her gaze returns to the sky, a comfortable silence forming as they continue their tranquil act.
