hey I just wanted to provide a small update.

The fic isn't dead. I had a lot of things happen that caused me to put pause on this. I have managed a big bang in the meantime, so the juice exists, it's just been simmering somewhere else. I've got time now to come back here, and I'm slowly working on it.

I don't know know how many people are still around, but frankly, I want to finish this for me. The story is a labor of love and deserves to see its ending.

So this story was originally written for the Against The Sun @mcrerazine “Traffic Report” section. I’ve been so busy with real life I know I haven’t been able to update other things, but I really love this little vignette I thought I’d put it out in the world for everyone else to read. Also if you haven’t given the zine a look, do it! It’s got great writing and art in there, all devoted to Danger Days.

Got tagged by @cchapsticck for Seven Sentence Sunday. Its friday, its not seven sentences but look, its proof im working on the next chapter!

Things were more complicated now. Steve and Viz definitely hadn’t talked about whatever was going on between them, but they had also definitely hadn’t stopped hooking up after Eddie marked those initials on his back. While it might(?) have been a physical thing for Viz, Pony knew on his end it was something deeper, cutting across lines he tried to ignore. Getting attached to the first person you ever fucked was a bad idea out here, but Pony always had a never ending supply of those. He just…liked Eddie. A lot. The man was like walking razor wire at the best of times, but he had shown Steve enough of what was locked behind those fences that he wanted to stick around and see if he was allowed to stay. And like fuck if he was going to allow someone like Val to mess that up for him before he got a chance to see where it could go.
