YESSS!!!! Superman AU. I actually saw some clips from old an Superman movie where his gf keeps putting herself in life or death situations (LITERALLY jumping off of buildings and tall waterfalls in front of him) so that Clark Kent will be forced to save her and stop hiding his superhero identity from her. Why is that so lando😭😭😭

his instinct being to smell the sweet babies soft hair and rest their cheeks together after she reached for him I’m gripping my phone so hard it hurts

this was unbearable bc seeing how they each see each other activates cat5 cuteness aggression and it physically caused me pain to gif this and once again landoscar packing more of a punch from just being told to look at each other than scripted content I am spiritually chopped over them

the shift from awkward and tired Oscar listening to the team's instructions to locking into that weird little softly smiling silent communication eye contact with Lando is INSANE like this is exactly the type of media work that gives Oscar smiling fatigue but the second he looks at Lando his mouth is trying so hard to control itself and that tiny secondary dimple pops

AND ALSO Lando's instinct when filming Oscar is always to get SO CLOSE and he clearly loves that he's allowed to pin Oscar down like a bug where most people are kept back by Oscar's boundaries bc they're worried about spooking the quiet kitty - you need to be absolutely sure kitty won't mind your intrusion and Lando definitely is allowed

he even gets kitty to nod up and down by teasing it with the tiny mic

THOSE WIDE TRUSTING EYES AND LANDO CURLING IMMEDIATELY TOWARD OSCAR WTHHHHH

BIG PRETTY EYES AND FLUTTERY EYELASHES

Lando's dynamic with most men is them treating him like a squeaky toy/cheeky small animal and they can't wait to see what he does if they tease him or rough him up a little or make him laugh so hard it gives him a stomach ache - BUT OSCAR has spent literal years watching Lando on stream and watching his media and tbh it's instinct to just sit and look at Lando bc Lando is never doing nothing - he's being pretty and beautiful and FUNNY and cute and right here his expression shifts about 50 times a second based on what Oscar is saying to him and how Oscar is looking at him so closely

and the fact that Lando's smile keeps spreading wider and his eyes sparkle even more is like a mirror for just how much Lando's cuteness and prettiness affects Oscar and yes when they first met Lando was so thrown because men usually show him affection by playfully dominating him and invading his space and he loves it bc there's no doubts about how they feel so !!! what was he supposed to do with a man who quietly watches and waits patiently and steadily for when Lando inevitably needs a little help bc Oscar will open the hard to open stuff and Oscar will always feed Lando first before himself and Oscar will know the word Lando can't think of or can't spell and he'll step up and be the one to talk if Lando isn't feeling like it but he's also happy to stand about three steps away and let Lando shine when Lando likes to AND so Lando ended up learning that he can trust Oscar just as much as the other men he loves in his life even tho Oscar makes him feel safe in a completely unique way and isn't there something about how a main character experiences love based on shared passions and love based on friendship and love based on laughter and after all of that it's love that is gentle and steady and creeps in without them even realizing it when the main character understands what commitment means and god do Lando and Oscar know that there will be times when it will take more than a debrief to come back together after a bad falling out but they are still SO determined to remind everyone that they aren't looking at their partnership in terms of this championship, they want to be trying for championships together for "years and years to come"

(and the absolute worst is when you think about any landoscar fic where their true feelings are betrayed when they're goofing around filming each other but watching it back is difficult bc it doesn't feel like something other people should be allowed to see and they can handle the usual PR videos bc there's a lot to do and the cameras are at a distance but oh no they're aiming the camera at each other and there's nowhere to hide)

no wait the worst is that their twinning/yapping/team-confirmed secret private debriefs that we get glimpses of in parc ferme where they simply have to go over the whole race immediately in detail with hand and body gestures even tho they will be doing the same thing in team debrief in like 45 mins - like, this is what they look like to each other in those moments and we can get a sense of why they've chosen to entrust the rest of their careers to each other and face down a title fight while being almost eerily perfectly matched and the whole of fandom and media begging them to hate each other over all their years together and they resolutely respond that their strength as a pairing is unique and they believe in it and in each other and okay outsiders can know they have little padel tournaments and hang out back in Monaco and share flights a lot but no, outsiders aren't allowed in any farther because as all public relationships know, private but not secret is the best way to keep it out of the maw of public and media who want to pick it to pieces and rewrite the narrative all wrong and no, they're not going to let anyone ruin the way they look at each other and automatically start smiling in that sweet fit to burst sort of way

anyway !!!
