I have a lot of rdr2 headcanons but the only hill I’ll die on is that Sean is touch-starved but doesn’t have the vocabulary to express it

The way he talks about Darragh, it seems like he loved him dearly and they had a good relationship (if we can believe everything he says, which I think we can since he doesn’t exactly say anything outlandish; it’s more that he’s repeating the same stories so much that it annoys the others). But being on the run so much they would have been in close quarters and I can imagine many nights where he had no choice but to sleep on top of him for lack of a better spot and it quickly became a source of comfort (humans bond with touch, after all).

ie Hosea puts a hand on his shoulder and he brightens up but in his mind he’s wishing he would put his arm around him and hold him the way his da used to bc this is the closest thing he has to a parent now

If the other guys wouldn’t push him off he’d be draped over them when he’s in a mood; cuddling not an emasculating thing for him, he would kill for some casual pda with the people he views as his family esp if he’s been drinking but he’s in a camp of TOUGH cowboys who aren’t going to let him share body heat even if they were in the frozen wastes 😔 the girls would let him but he can only go so long without making an inappropriate joke and then he’s banned from their tent for a bit

Man, we have got to stop treating art like it has an expiration date. That show stopped airing? Doesn’t mean it can’t haunt your every waking thought. Everybody’s into this album, but you don’t have the energy for new music right now? It’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready. That movie’s fifty years old and indie as shit? Incredible, you have the chance to share it with folks who might never otherwise feel that particular punch of delight. Books don’t go bad. Shows inspire fandoms decades after they’ve wrapped up. We’re still looking at cave paintings and statue work from ancient times and letting the joy of creation bring tears to our eyes. That’s the point of art. It’s as close to immortality as we ever get. Why try to give that magic a shelf life?

i have made like 57 reddit throwaway accounts in my life because my only use for reddit is to login once a year to pose niche questions to a sub i assume is compromised of mostly autistic dads desperate to impart their knowledge upon anyone who will listen. when i got my first fisheries job the equipment list my boss sent me just said “knife.” i emailed back asking what kind of knife and he replied “any knife.” i got on reddit and went to some sub about fish and i said “i got a hatchery job in alaska. what knife do i need for multipurpose use. a knife that does it all.” one guy responded in ten minutes breaking down everything about knives & salmon work. gave me a better idea of my job than the interview did. then he recommended a single knife and like twenty other people replied after him “this is the correct knife. no notes.”
