There is a difference between the words ‘Destiny’ and ‘Fate’. The former represents grandness and greatness, a being written and foreseen to achieve a noble and prosperous outcome, determined by the choices and actions taken by an individual. Whereas the latter is predetermined, preordained—whatever word that suits your fancy—beyond human control, an externally influenced outcome. From a psychological perspective, destiny is seen as hopeful and positive, and fate often carries a more pessimistic connotation.

If one reads a book and the hero or villain says, “It’s my destiny!”, that is instantly classified as a Chosen One trope. But this isn’t an analysis of trope clichés. In fact, the writer of this very text you’re reading is dabbling in such clichés and turning them into reality. By what I mean is the Narrative. Destiny, fate, and fantasy—that is the Narrative. Imagine the excitement that you’re the one pulling the strings here, and that everything—anything—you write becomes true, and your characters are fleshed-out, breathing, living, thinking. And so that is the power of the Narrative; the power of inevitability, where the question of fate and free will is at your fingers to tug.

The Narrative is my fabrication, my beauty, a fine piece of art. Unfortunately, one mustn't involve oneself in a story that has already been set in stone since time’s first moments of existence. There, in the Narrative, is a dangerous, reality-warping game at play. The falling of dominoes is in motion, and there must be no tampering lest the whole reality turn to ruins at the insubordination of fate. If any of the future Makers is reading, I beg, do NOT finish off what I have started. Its effects are unpredictable, as the whole universe is already complete with a Narrative of its own by my past makers, and we are just waiting for it to play until the end.

As a result, I must scrap the Narrative and all the characters within it. Indeed, it is a pity, and I have grown attached to my creations. The world that I have tampered with will be reduced to an endless void, but that is for the better, and so the other worlds may not get damaged further. I am now merely documenting my mistakes so that history would not repeat itself. Destiny has been written in the vengeful villages’ eon-old textbooks, and Fate is already fully planned out and is at play.

By the way, what did you call ART and SecUnit respectively? ART→SecUnit「おまえ」 (Basically, a word used from a superior to a inferior, arrogant, rude, or a warm call to arms used for a close companion or a good-natured friend)(!) SecUnit→ART「あなた」 (Pretty flat language, a bit formal? Since this is the default second person in SecUnit, it is also used for Ratthi and Dr. mensah. It can be used anywhere and by anyone, but it is a curious word that has the nuance of “partner” especially when used to refer to someone emotionally close to. In English, it is “you” 99.9% of the time, but in the remaining 0.1% of the time, it is used as “dear,” “darling,” or “sweet”… It is strange when I look at it again.) Well, there's no end to the number of ways to use “you” as a second person, it's inaccurate, and since it's the flattest and most common second person (according to various theories), it probably doesn't mean that much… but it's interesting, isn't it? えっ嘘みたいに長くなった。いったん切ります。 Oh what a joke, it's been so long. also that is a DEVASTATING stratoshine au 😭 Strato having to relearn who they were..... Anshine being so heartachingly familiar but unfamilar at the same time.... The feeling of having no sense of identity..... The debilitating loss and emptiness..... FUCK!!!!!!
