Hey friends! One of the scenes I had planned for Faust Files was for Fred to be kidnapped. So here’s some pics of him being kidnapped (i know i’m being weird but sigh, feels.)

This is a set of poses I had been working on last year for a scene in my old story, Faust Files. Since I never got round to doing it, this just fell into the back of my mind until I had to clean out my mods. But hey, I figured even though I haven’t used this (except for testing!), maybe these poses could help a simmer out there. So here they are! Links to the pose and CC download under the cut:

tying loose ends

Hey friends, it's me again.

I wasn't sure if I should write up a summary of Faust Files because I wanted to avoid spoiling Watcher's World: Arc 1 (tentatively subtitled "The Vanishing of Hayden Holiday") but after fleshing out some plot points, I realised that WWA1 is going to be drastically different from Faust Files.

There's one more post for Faust Files sitting in my drafts. I'll publish it, and the next post will be a wordy summary of the scenes and plot developments I had in store for this story.

I remember promising to finish what I started, to not leave any burning questions unanswered. It's time I made good on that promise before diving deep into Watcher's World.

Faust Files: part 126

CW: ABDUCTION, INTIMIDATION

AUTUMN | SUNDAY, 11:31 - STUDENT HALLS, WINDENBURG UNIVERSITY

Meanwhile, Heaven Patel and Dharshini Datta - whose parents are close friends and colleagues at InfoSims - were moving into their Windenburg University student halls.

Heaven expected her boyfriend Vernon to show up for the occasion, but instead he had bailed out. Feeling disappointed, she had called him to find out why.

DHARSHINI: [scrutinising her nails] So, what's his excuse this time?

HEAVEN: He said he's helping with the search for Jane.

DHARSHINI: Oh, you and I know better than that...

HEAVEN: It's not the growfruit, Shini. Jane's supposed to be here, with us in Windenburg. She worked so hard for this, to get out of Willow Creek -

DHARSHINI: - I know she meant a lot to you, but what's missing is his supplies. I never understood what you see in that... thug.

HEAVEN: Despite what you think, he truly loves me! He's been trying so hard to please Appa*!

*appa = father

DHARSHINI: Hmm? That is news. What did the Landgraab do for your family?

HEAVEN: Y-you didn't know? The contract with Landgraab Medical. That was Vernon.

DHARSHINI: What?

HEAVEN: I thought you knew about it, really...

Dharshini opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated when her phone buzzed. She walked to the window overlooking the courtyard before picking up. As she listened, the colour drained from her face.

DHARSHINI: Yes, Amma*. See you tonight. [hangs up]

*amma = mother

HEAVEN: What is it?

DHARSHINI: [crying softly] It's my uncle. I have to go home.

11:31 - BROOK BUNGALOW, WILLOW CREEK

Prescott Goth was weary from staying up all night. He had been waiting for any contact from the police in case his daughter Jane had been found - or worse, her remains.

As he was about to rise from his chair to stretch his legs, his phone buzzed. An unknown number - it definitely wasn't from Willow Creek PD.

PRESCOTT: If you're not the police, I don't want -

CALLER: - Mr. Goth. We have your daughter.

His breath caught in his throat.

PRESCOTT: [gulp] What do you want?

CALLER: [to someone else in the background] Talk.

Prescott heard the shuffling of feet.

JANE: Daddy? Daddy, it's me.

PRESCOTT: Jane?! Jane!

CALLER: - That's enough.

JANE: No! Please - Daddy I love you!

He dropped to his knees and cried as the moment was cut short by the slam of a door. Her screams, muffled, were still audible in the background as was the pounding and kicking against the door.

CALLER: If you want your daughter back, do as we say.

PRESCOTT: Yes, yes I will! Anything!

CALLER: Wait for my call tomorrow. If you tell anyone, we will know. That is a warning.

The line cut off.

Prescott sobbed, his face in his hands.

Fred can't play the guitar, but would like to learn how to so he can serenade someone one day.

She's aromantic pansexual, the complete opposite of Fred.

She has a hotheaded trait, which we can tell from her impatience.

She used to wear makeup in her twenties, but gave that all up because she really liked having extra time to sleep in.

She only got her driving licence at 22.

Her MBTI type is INTP, and she's proud of her ability to reason logically - but her insistence in some arguments have lost her a few friends.

New beginnings

It saddens me to say that I'm not continuing The Cyanide Legacy and Faust Files until further notice. While I was offline, I felt like the origin story wasn't well thought through.

What I plan to do is a reboot of these two storylines. I'm in the midst of townie makeovers, and I'll post updates about it in my main blog at @weicyn.

This reboot is tentatively named Watcher's World, and the main story arc will be heavily based on TCL. Artemis and Fred will make their return under different faces, different names - and different circumstances.

Hey friends! So sorry to be offline for so long. I didn't plan on isolating myself from Tumblr and everyone/everything to this extent.

What happened was that work -- more specifically, just one very tedious 270-hour project -- took a toll on my mental health and I couldn't do anything but think about work, 24/7. I even snuck off one Saturday to see a therapist and my mom thought I went back to the office to work. Lol.

I haven't been back to the therapist because my insurance doesn't cover mental health. While I want my mental health to be better, paying for each session out of my pocket hurts.

Moreover, I think I had been spending more time in Blender making poses than actually playing the game, which was why I took such a long break from The Sims as well.

In the meantime, I'm trying to get back in the groove with Sims and storytelling.

Hi Kay! I missed you too. It'll be awhile before I get back to posting. I have so much story material - possibly enough for a few years - but no energy to flesh them out. Hi Katie! Blythe was a gambling addict in her 20s and that's why she was so hesitant to join Cut 'n Shuffle. She'd definitely win most games, but her chances go up the more time she spends with the members, as she learns each person's unique tell.
