men inventing mythology: okay so we all agree BIRTH and MENSTRUATION is DISGUSTING!!!!! but also men can do it to but in a cool way. Right? WOM*N are disgusting and because of the goo and blood and birth and shit but ALSO wouldn't it be rad if men could have babies??? like what if when men bleed on the ground, that is babies? or if men could pop a baby our of their head that's, like, that's like having a baby. but in a cool and good way. not in a DISGUSTING, FILTHY WAY like our moms and wives.

I just think sex positivity fully failed as a project and lead people into beliving anything they find sexually stimulating is beyond critique and Everyone who thinks talking about sex as yet another Tool for patrirchical dominiation is some kind of fascist Who wants to ban their beloved rape porn

patriarchy punishes women for being sexual beings who actively want sex and enjoy it themselves and are open about that, but it also punishes women who don’t make themselves sexually available at all times to whichever men their specific culture or belief system views them as the property of. that doesn’t feel like rocket science to me. it’s also why presenting yourself as a sexual object to men and putting a substantial amount of effort and energy into fuckability to men is not fighting patriarchy but feeding right into its hands

there is a level of seduction that exists beyond the body. something less tangible, and perhaps more potent. anais nin understood this idea about how desire does not begin with touch but with language, perception, and the sharp electric pull of a mind that challenges and excites you. in her journals, desire is not just a physical hunger but a hunger of the intellect, an unraveling of thought before an unraveling of the body. to be drawn into someone’s mind, to feel their thoughts press against your own, can be more intoxicating than any physical closeness.

one can only imagine a world where male leftists applied the pathetic lack of sophistication that is acceptable among choice/liberal feminists to themselves and their efforts of liberation. if a worker chooses to accept a meager wage, then surely we must not infantilize him by analyzing these terms as oppressive, that he must work collectively to unionize for better conditions would be a form of social shaming since he wants his job. if he consents to backbreaking labor, terrible hours, no health insurance, and he likes his job, well, who are we to critique the relationship he has with his employer. he consented, and everything a man chooses to do is radical by virtue of his choosing to do it, power dynamics be damned, after all. male marxists would laugh you out of the room and probably bully you into silence if you suggested they accept such political impotence, and rightfully so. yall don’t find it suspicious that male leftists do not tolerate this kind of surrender when their lives are at stake, but women are expected to? 🤔
