i hate when people outside the community have such black and white views of butchfemme where the femme is always the one taking care and the butch is always the one providing because it's so reductive of the history, culture, and dynamics that make up butchfemme. it's really upsetting because yeah, there are butchfemme relationships in which that is the case, but they aren't the standard, not every butchfemme relationship is like that. people and relationships are nuanced and so is butchfemme and it's frustrating when people don't realize that
