decided to visit bewhiskered today (after learning of its existence/proximity to me this past week) so made a badge for beetle :) it was a fun experience, met some cool artists and saw some really neat suits

just realized I never posted it here, but here’s beetle’s (slightly) updated ref from 2023 :) I draw them with a little chin fur more often cuz it’s cute and the shapes of their ears can vary between being more rabbit like or shorter like above. will likely do a new ref for 2025.

a while ago I was saying how shadow fits the carolina hurricanes theming perfectly.. the colors, the logo, “cause chaos” like cmon… so wanted to draw it :)

this was mainly practice, I rly wanted to learn how to draw him closer to his sab2 art & some of his concept sketches. the style is such an inspiration to me ^_^

my entry for @catmask and @frogcroaks ' monster mayhem!! this beastie is the fog harvester! it is a creature that resides in an arid desert area that is bordered by the ocean. it has a special adaptation that allows it to "harvest" condensation from the morning fog. it "harvests" more water than it consumes, so small animals in the area may flock to it each morning to get some hydration. :) a little "oasis" for the local fauna!

it also looks like a palm tree while harvesting and its got a cute coconut face :)

the beast & its fog harvesting ability were inspired by Stenocara gracilipes, the Namib desert beetle! these beetles collect microscopic droplets of water from fog as described in the first image. they're super cool!

devil beetle… while looking for my Halloween costume this year I found this rly cute old ready-to-sew kids devil costume. obv it would not fit me so I drew beetle in it :) also bonus doodle of my actual costume this year hehe
