I really don't get what JK Rowling is doing. The Harry Potter verse has SO MUCH GOING FOR IT to support trans people and other marginalised classes.
Don't feel comfortable in your own skin? Polyjuice potion literally allows you to be someone else. Granted, it's not completely perfect as you'd have to be impersonating someone else, but it's not hard to imagine that further study down that line of magic would be a godsend for trans wizards.
James Potter and Sirius Black literally become Animaguses to support Lupin and accept him for who he is, essentially becoming Werewolf allies. Like. Bro. If Rowling just kept her mouth shut about her opinions she could make SO MUCH MONEY. Having Pride on your side would give you SUCH BANK, even if you weren't just an ethical person who understands that discrimination isn't cool.
