So Windows 10 support is ending in October of this year so I wanted to put out some resources about Linux since I know plenty of people on here don't want to switch to Windows 11, or maybe are unable to due to older hardware.

First resource is (X) which us just a general overview of things and gives some good resources for finding people who might be able to help you install Linux if you don't feel confident doing it alone.

Of course there are a lot of Linux distros to choose from but for anybody switching from windows I'd highly recommend an LTS version of Kubuntu (X) with in depth installation instructions here (X).

And then if you're worried about games not working on Linux I'd recommend looking at the Proton DB website (X) because most games should work on Proton with some tweaking.

now feels like a good time to reiterate that Iranians have been martyred by america + israel already, both empires that possess nuclear weapons, and that Iran does not have nuclear weapons. so now is not the time to joke about america getting nuked-- any retaliation on Iran's part is justified and the only way we escape this situation, but Iran is not going to nuke us, because the entire premise that Iran has nukes is how america justified bombing them and also the exact same rhetoric we used against Iraq and how we killed my countrysmen when there was again no evidence of nuclear warfare.
