Bathe me in your colours, fill my monochrome world, vibrant with the ones I can't see. Paint me with emotion, colour the lenses of my eyes, finally the meaning that escaped me. I gave my vision for your clarity.

This started with Shuuke, then I wanted to experiment with Griseo because hello??? Girl who's whole world is monochrome vs girl who's world is saturated??? Shuuke can't see how beautiful her chromatic powers are and Griseo would see the equivalent of a geode on her. Now I can't help but wonder if Shuuke would only ever see colour in Griseo's paintings.

Fu Hua Rustic Noir TL

Timelapsed Version Usually my style makes everyone curvy but lets face it, we love flat birb.

I'm aware that the left shoulder (furthest away) needs adjusting. The top fabric needs to move over closer to the neck and tuck the shoulder behind more hhhhhhh but I'm procrastinating I need to practice her more as a prominent character in the AU T-T

Please why is her hair so hard to stylise without losing her being her??? It's like her defining feature gh

The first layer is the original sketch that's kept on a different device and the original design. I wasn't happy with it even when I finished it and knew she would be redesigned when I made the cleaner sketch, so much happier with this version <3

Why does it look like I'm tracing? The original files for these old designs are on a different PC I don't have access to currently. I'm using a spare laptop in the meantime!

Fun Facts! Reiyha didn't have a set design until last year. This design was actually her Honkai : Star Rail version until I decided to swap them around.

Astrain, Herrscher of Transience (Dormant) Sketch Process (Timelapsed)

Why does it look like I'm tracing? : The original sketch file is currently on a different PC to what I'm currently using (as I'm in the process of moving and unboxing). I always take screenshots of drawings I do in a private discord server so I can quick flash look back at certain original characters for reference between PC, Laptop and Phone, so this is me sketching over the first design sketch screenshot into final design on a new file. You might see this with Shuuke, Reiyha and Eliyah's sketch processes too but rest assured this is my artwork start to finish.

Different line colours? : Helps differentiate different parts of the drawing, as to not confuse the lines. I do this when I get confused about which parts are foreground and background

The original concept design for Astrain was majorly inspired by HoV as the first draft of the Vitality AU had Astrain and HoR replace Sirin's parental figures. The first design was originally sketched on paper in 2019

The final design hasn't changed drastically, Astrain embodies change, immediate and over time periods. She herself is a cunning, playful but erratic individual chasing the idea of eternity. Despite being older than Fu Hua, she has a youthful energy and I wanted to capture this intertwined complexity through her garments and expressions in future. She is a fixed, restrained point of time here.

This design is her dormant state and her human consciousness.
