"I enjoy a good black coffee when it calls for it. But right now, at this time, my good old friend Jack Daniel's is taking care of me so I'll take you up on that offer."
Frank waves over the bartender to give him another, motioning wordlessly that it was so graciously on her for this one. When his glass is refilled, he turned back to Helen.
"Yeah, I work in Hollywood. Actor. Singer. Entertainer." He rolls his eyes at the titles, rather surprised she didn't recognize him fully. What a breath of fresh air for once that was though. "Frank Sinatra." He finished with.
"...I shouldn't have taken you for the coffee type." She admitted in muttered reluctance. Her voice returned after she spared a glance to the glass in his hand. "--What is that you're drinking? I'll at least make good on it and get you another."
Her long fingers, tipped with gleaming, polished nails, fanned over the countertop. Thin eyebrows pressed together.
"Do I? I could say the same for you, chap. You--never worked in Hollywood, did you?"
The Knight grumbles, throwing a glance back at the woman who would disturb him.
"I'm already drinking something stronger, so if you're gonna order me another shot, don't worry about it."
Throwing back the rest of the harsh liquor, he turns to face her fully, taking in her figure now. She looked familiar. Some Hollywood actress he'd seen on some set?
"You look like I've seen you somewhere before."
"You poor, haggard thing. I've seen that look before, from someone who was ready to give up on life."
my partner said it not me, but i think with the whole "his matter remembers his old universe" i like to imagine frank can't remember the horned serpent, but his alcatraz matter does and so he would get incredibly uncomfortable if you asked about the horned serpent, despite not knowing why it makes him uncomfortable.
"...Why did that question make me feel... so incredibly disgusted..."
That all changed with the Knight. We know little about him, but what we do know is that he is not of this world. While everyone's atoms are following a defined course in our universe, the Knight's atoms Are Not. His world is gone, and when you have no world left, then what course is there to follow? The Knight is the only one in our existence who has true free will.
