How would nordics dress HCs
I think Iceland would be interested in any alternative styles like pastel goth/scene/gyaru/emo but he'd be way to anxious to dress that way. He'd appreciate them though and im pretty sure he has some "alternative" jewellery or single piece of clothing he once bought but never wore because of anxiety. Expect for his regular clothing we see in manga I feel like he might wear really baggy jeans and t-shirts but hardly ever around the rest of the nordics because he doesn't want anyone's comments about it, so he also has a few pairs of regular jeans and shirts (he wears it under a sweater anyway) . He looks like converse/Adidas shoes type too. For the accessories, i don't think he wears any. Maybe a belt or tie but nothing else. Hair pin would make him look like Norway and any jewelleries annoys him so he rarely wears any. He can't decide if he wants piercing/tattoo, hes afraid he'll "grow out of it" and in few years won't like anymore so he passes. He'd be also afraid of damaging things, so if anyone would ever give him friendship bracelet or stuff like that, he'd act like he doesn't like it (even though he secretly loves it and feels special) and hides it in jewellery box (he often takes it out of it and play with it)
Finland have fun style and you can't change my mind. I feel like he gets inspired by Pinterest and likes all of these aesthetics like goblincore or cottagecore. I think he sometimes looks up the ideas for the outfits there. He owns vintage sweaters with fun prints, kinda grandpa-like but he loves them anyway. Everything wooly is just perfect for him. I think he'd also wear mom jeans with chunky leather belt, kinda 80s vibe but it suits him! He also wears heavy boots like Steady's. For accessories, he would definitely wear only those pieces with sentimental value. All friendship bracelets, keychains, pins he has it all on him ALWAYS. He just likes having pieces of his loved ones with him all the time, it makes him feel safe. I feel like he has really dark and gothic-like tattoo in hidden place like back or thigh, but none piercing (he once thought about getting smiley piercing but never got it anyway). Also he would've loved creative styles and always complemented alternative people.
I know it would be basic ah but Stockholm style really suits Sweden. look it up and imagine him in simple jeans and Ralph Lauren sweater. And I just can't say anything else, its just who he is. Maybe he just adds matching keychain he got with Finland and that's the only exception. He's trying to look clean and elegant most of the time. But hear me out on this one, he got his one ear pierced in the 70s but eventually stopped wearing it and the wound healed. For the alternative styles- I don't think he cares. When he sees a pretty outfit he appreciates it but doesn't thinks about it that much.
Denmark has two wolves inside him. First one is dressed in elegant shirt, dark pants, everything matches his undertones, is either designer or just from small business, still made with great materials, he looks clean, handsome but also with a hint of playfulness. He could pose for Vogue in these outfits. Second one is in tech fleece. Or in really worn-out jeans and t-shirt with funny tee. For accessories I think he just wears watch and maybe belt, sometimes adding chain to it and sunglasses. He finds "friendship jewellery" rather silly and he even might laugh that its "girly and quirky" but I'm pretty sure he tried to get something matching with Norway and Sweden (he failed obviously). He jokes about other styles- not in a mean way, its just his way of showing interest for something different. He'd totally talked with that person about it!
Norway dresses comfy- baggy jeans, long-sleeve t-shirt (in dark shades) and heavy boots (with warm socks obviously). When he's not wearing his sailor-outfit others will probably see him in something like that or the other variant with shirt instead. He looks like someone who likes either plain shirts in cold colour or striped ones. Even though he dresses rather basic, he LOVES alternative people. Not in a bubbly way like Finland, he's more admiring and appreciating from afar type. He'd especially have soft spot in his heart for subcultures from 20 century, like goths and punks, and would actually learn something about them. But literally everyone who dresses differently catches his eye, he thinks its a good exception from grey "normal" world, and it reminds him of fairytales or myths. He's not wearing many accessories-his hairpin is enough, but if he find something he likes online, on some "fantasy/viking/warrior accessories shop" its instantly bought and he wears it sometimes. I also feel that he might've match something with Iceland (Iceland hid this in his box but Norway actually wears it and even kept something Iceland made for him as a child which is so embracing for Iceland lol)

APH Nordics
I hate how Hetalia fandom writes characters completely out of their original character (r4pist France/Spain or dumb Prussia) but I think to greatest victims of fandom are Nordics.
I don't blame anyone for believing in those head canons, nordics don't have much screen time, and comparing to other characters don't many fan fictions and are mostly just background npcs so its not hard to copy their non canon character traits.
Finland was being written as a cute little shy twink, nowadays most people are portraying him as tough metalhead like @itsbenjiiswear (bless his precious heart I love him) I personally noticed that he is somewhere in between. Its true that he likes gothic/dark things (also Finland has massive metal/rock music scene-personally I love HIM) but in the manga he is also shown as a little awkward, shy (mostly around Sweden, but he is taken aback by the presence of Norway) and sweet, caring (Iceland&Norway's birthday) He's also shown to feel comfortable around Denmark. He's cinnamon roll and he might have problem with setting boundaries (Sweden) and he might be a little over thinker but he is not a pussy, Himaruya said that he is very vindictive, he can be intense with getting what he wants and sometimes talk faster than thinking. Don't forget about his love for nature!
Sweden beside his "death stare" is also really nice and described to have good sense of humor by Himaruya. He also have big heart and is really socially awkward, and because of this awkwardness he is constantly making Finland uncomfortable, not because he doesn't care abut his feelings, he just can't express them differently despite his love for him.
Denmark is intense, Himaruya made him really energetic and loud, which makes him overwhelming for rest of the nordics (mostly Norway) but the biggest issue is fandom making him dumb. He can be self centred (not selfish!!!) but he has big knowledge (design for example) and is very confident about himself and it is important in debates. He's also caring about his group, he is calling them his brothers and tries to encourage them to work together like family. He might be annoying but his intentions are pure.
Iceland is actually not written out of character that much I think. He is awkward, short tempered teenager who acts more mature han he actually is, but deep down really wants to be closer to his family.
Last but not least, Norway. God, this one is so mischaracterised by fandom, literally no one wrote good fanfiction with him. First of all, stop looking at him by dennor. Dennor is trash. Norway is not tsundere, he is just constantly annoyed with Denmark's behaviour. This ship wouldn't work because 1-like I said Norway doesn't like Denmark's loud behaviour and how he's trying to act like big brother to Iceland 2-it is incest ship (sorry not sorry) they're treating each others like brothers, and are both germanic people (its different with Sweden and Finland since Finland is Finno-urgic) so it's just like suden or norice. Norway is not tsundere, Himaruya has a style with writing tsunderes (Romano, England). Actually Iceland is more tsundere type than him. Norway is really caring towards Iceland, he really tries to be a good brother for him. Norway is even annoyed when Denmark tries to act like a brother for Iceland. He's also shown as a quiet type, but not "scary quiet" more like "weird quiet" since he's always talking with his mythological friends. His minds also works a bit more "quirky" and often coming up with strange ideas or doing non logical things (checking online shop while being in the shop just to sent links to Icelands to things he could easily show him in the shop). He's also rather stoic and reliable than mean.
Im sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first language. Feel free to comment!
